I'm a bit disappointed with this one, compared to the prior two Cage albums. I was only able to get thru it twice before I put it back on the shelf. 'll revisit it again I'm sure.

I picked CP Live up in a used CD store a number of years ago... CD only without the VHS. I've got no regrets about buying it!
That is quite a lineup. Hope they can make a real tour out of it. Would like to hear Martin & Mollo play some of The Cage songs as well.
Just finished reading Iommi - Iron Man, and before that I Am Ozzy. I'd recommend both for any BS fans. The Ozzy book was a better read than Iommi's. The Iommi book was interesting, but was...
I prefer the other song samples over the video track. More along lines of other Cage tunes.

Can't wait! Never heard of Arryeon Path. Anyone know anything about it?[COLOR="silver"]

I always thought of Mob Rules as a lesser album, with 4 excellent songs (southern cross, country girl, falling off, over&over) and the remainder being sub-par in comparison to H&H.
There was a lot of contention regarding the presale in the other thread, which has confused the hell out of me. Just to clarify...
The news item says that there will be a "special fan presale for...
This malware thing is just an obnoxious action by the record companies. I don't see how this could possibly stem "record piracy" at all. I think it would serve to detract people from buying the cds.
There are only a few bands out there that can get away with asking those kind of prices for a major tour. Most bands that would try to post those kind of prices would be playing to empty venues. So...
Just saw them live last week. They were probably THE show that I have wanted to see live for years & the show did not dissapoint. Manowar kicks some serious ass & knows how to entertain the fans...
I have no idea how Savatage can get lumped in with Death Metal, just because Oliva's voice is a little raspy! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Also I think it's way off the mark to label...
I think it would be a great idea. And if it doesn't work, then who cares?
What was the QR setlist? Did they play any new "operation mindcrime II" songs?
When it comes to power chord metal, it gets tough not to recycle riffs from time to time.

There are plenty of "singers" out there... The bands that are influenced by death or black metal don't have the same clean vocal stylings, but that's nothing new! It's been like that for 20 years....
Van Halen
Dream Theater
Steve Vai
Stairway
I like everything he put out in the 80s. Not particularly impressed with much of his 90s or 00s work, except for Eclipse & Seventh Sign. His music has just gotten too formulaic.
The Steeler...
I'd peg Piper and Animals as my two favorite Floyd albums.
Their more popular disks (Dark Side, Wish You were Here, the Wall) are excellent, but they've been overplayed to the point that I don't...
Right place at the right time, I guess /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Some articles I've read on them portray them as a "Christian Metal" band, but the lyrics aren't oppressingly so (no...
Icarus is one of my favorite IM songs. I think Metallica have several songs that are better than Bell Tolls.
My vote = Icarus
I recently got hooked up with a copy of Trouble's s/t oop album from circa 1991. They are one band that was definately able to capture that classic Sabbath groove. The crunchy Iommi guitar sound is...
Looks like 6/9/05 was quite a night for metal shows in Baltimore! I went to the Manowar / Rhapsody show downtown that night. Manowar put on an excellent show.
