I'll vote when I'm done with this post. I have to say though, Lita Ford has aged great. And though she doesn't count as a musician, but Tawny Kitaen (s/p?) could rock my car hood anyday. Yeah yeah, Whitesnake video I know. But I saw her on the Ratt documentary I think and she looks good as well. Both look really good in their age.

Doro Pesch - especially around the Hellbound stage - was f*cking hot.

Debbie Harry - especially around the Parallel Lines time - f*cking hot.

Suzi Quatro was (you guessed it) f*cking hot.

Terri Nunn from Berlin. Yeah, a pop/new wave band, but she was oh so f*cking hot before she went with that blonde-and-black hair colour (you've all seen the "Take My Breath Away" clip & know what I'm talking about!).

Amy Lee - annoying (how awful is that newish single???) but undeniably f*cking hot.

A couple of the girls from Phantom Blue were...(drumroll)...f*cking hot.

Wendy James from Transvision Vamp & her big black bushy eyebrows was f*cking hot.

Surprised I haven't seen Wendy O Williams mentioned. Face like a plate of smashed crab, but a killer body (check your local video store for Reform School Girls for further explanation).

Polly Jean Harvey, with that crooked smile of hers is f*cking hot. Liz Phair was f*cking hotter.

The guitarist (Kelly Johnson, I think) from Girlschool was all right. Ditto the chick from Hammerbox.

Never heard her music, but Lisa Dominique was a cutie.

For a really obscure one, the chick from Promises (Canadian one-hit-wonder form the late 70s) had a sensational pair of...erm..."lungs" on her (bit rough around the head but).

Again, she's not stricktly rock, but Terri Nunn for mine was the epitomy of sexy. Has held up surprisingly well, too.

Footnote: I can still remember seeing an ad in a music mag (probably Circus or Hit Parader) that showed the cover of the debut album by a band I'd never heard of. My first impression was, "Wow! A couple of those chicks are f*cking hot!" An isssue or two later, and I learned - much to my disgust - that I'd been ogling Bret Michaels and Rikki Rocket. Yup, those rugged he-men from Poison. I still have an ancient cassette of Triumph And Agony. I have also owned True As Steel. I haven't heard Burning The Witches or Hellbound, though I understand they're quite good.

A lot of the best heavy metal of that era was coming out of Germany.

And, yes, Doro Pesch was certainly hot. I remember when Kerrang! published a centrespread of her where her leather vest came undone onstage and she had a slip-of-the-nipple.
