You loving it? I've heard some things about it, so not too sure on picking it up yet.

Listening to the Iommi album, currently on Who's Fooling Who

MSG - Desert Song. Great song, I really enjoy Bonnet's vocals. I think "Assault Attack" is by far their strongest effort. And the production values are fucking amazing. It's clear, tight yet spacious and big sounding.

My favourite MSG is probably Built To Destroy, but there all really good, Gary Barden is a really underrated singer, one of the best IMO...One Night At Budokan to is my 3rd fav live album...

As for me i've just finished listening to the album Welcome To My Nightmare by Alice Cooper, and i'm now on listening to Sacred Heart by Dio.

Well, I find MSG's output to be rather uneven, Assault Attack is probably the only album I find to be a very strong entity. And then theres the McAuley Schenker Group era that I've never really cared for - it was just too hair metal to my liking (although Nightmare is a fantastic song).

And now playing: Overkill - The Years Of Decay

EDIT: Now it's DIO and Pain. This particular song has such an angry vibe that I'm waiting for a fist to fly out of the screen of our laptop and bust my face

I too have found new love for this song recently - I used to think it was a rather mediocre tune. Goes to show how opinions can change.

But I still hate the chorus (?) effect on Ozzy's vocals.

Jethro Tull - Stand Up - A New Day Yesterday, primarily because of the thread that suggests it's Iommi playing on it, not that that would be the only reason for playing my Jethro Tull CDs.

Several hours after my previous post, listening to Journey Wheel in the Sky that just followed Van Halen Mean Streets. It's the radio, KLOS 95.5.

Sabbath's Back Street Kids due to the NSD vs. TE thread. Just realized that this song has a strong Budgie vibe, I don't think it would be out of place at all on "Bandolier" or "Never Turn Your Back On A Friend".

The opening track of Nazareth newest album "Big Dogz" titled "Big Dog's Gonna Howl", thanks to SYMPTOMS Of EVILWOMEN's thread about their gig. Good riffing, and McCafferty still has the voice. Can't believe I forgot that this came out in the spring.

---------- Post added at 08:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:32 PM ----------

Moving to the second track Claimed. This one has a similar vibe to the opening track. So far this albums sounds like they were trying to reach the classic heavier sound from the "Hair Of The Dog" album. And it's certainly a good thing. Still can't say if they have been succesful though.

    The song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJlYI...eature=related

Been listening to a lot of ELF tonight, it's been quite a while. Got to say, the band made some good music, whether it was Hard Rock, Blues Rock or even more Jazz based stuff. And they were great musicians, no wonder Ritchie used them on the first Rainbow album. Driscoll especially was a fantastic drummer, I really like his groovy approach.

Currently the song is "Happy". One of their best, has a nice jazz/swing feel to it.
