I've only played it through once so far, and to me it sounds great, albeit very similar to Ironbound, which I guess is unsurprising. First impression is that it's similar in all the best ways: solid production, songs full of energy that have that lively 'rip yer face off' vibe; a worthy successor retaining all the best qualities and continuing their resurgence.

After only one listen it's hard to say whether it could even be better - I guess time will tell. Ironbound caught me by surprise with just how good it was, whereas this starts off with those raised expectations in place. So far, I wouldn't expect fans of Ironbound to be disappointed.

    Default The emptiness of completion

Finally, my anxiously awaited stock order has arrived to and remains to be retrieved today from the local Top Ten utility and entertainment store...The price of this timeless, merciless and shameless musical testament is only 7,99 €...

Thus, after all the related acquisitions, my Celtic Frost/Triptykon collection has now become complete.

I've known about the Demon Entrails release since it was released...and eyeing it ever since. I've not taken time to listen any of the songs...yet...

You're the first one ever to recommend Tom Warrior's Apollyon Sun...all I know of that band is the name. Maybe I'll delve into that one too later on...

    Thanks for the heads up.

I have found "Demon Entrails" by chance for 4 €, 2 years ago! double CD digipak.
    great remastered demos.
Appolyon Sun is very different from CF. very industrial. The drummer is none other than Marky from Coroner. Very good album. I advise you also demo "Prototype" of Celtic Frost , recorded with Martin Ain and Unala Erol in 2002 . it contains industrial versions of songs that will be future pieces on Monotheist ( Obscured ) and Eparistera Daemones ( Myopic Empire ) ...

I bought a curious mix of CDs in March:
    Iced Earth Dystopia
    Mastodon The Hunter
    Pallbearer Sorrow and Extinction
    Ghost Opus Eponymous
    Black Keys El Camino

Starting my April CD order with:
    Overkill Ironbound
    Overkill The Electric Age

You will definitely not regret buying the excellent Ironbound and The Electric Age. They are both the best thing the reliable Overkill have done in a long time.

Hey Thelemech, what the fuck, you got only one disc?! It was missing from the disc holder? If so, hopefully you'll get the second disc a.s.a.p...it includes In The Studio With Overkill & Blitz's Commentary.

Haven't gone through this release yet, though. Ironbound is still the best thing I've heard from this band and especially from Blitz...

For some reason my was a single disk jewel case...damn I would have paid the extra money for the second disk, Maybe the 2 disk set is not available in Canada!? I think you will be pleased with The Electric Age - it is at least as good as Ironbound IMO!

I added to my April order described a couple posts above:
