Yes I think that they are the 2006 Century Media reissues - I have been trying to get the first 2 (I have Spiritual Healing original pressing)
For a long time - the places I frequent for CDs said that they were out of print - did you special order them or get them online?
I would love to know so I can get them too.

I got them in my preferred metal shop, but it seems they're imports from Argentina under a combined "Icarus Music" and Century Media banner.
Therefore I'm not sure if they're bootlegs or genuinely legal copies, as I never heard of an Icarus Music before but do know Century Media from my Iced Earth purchases.
As for ordering, nope. Just saw them pop up there at random and decided I must have these.

I've just bought Lateralus by Tool.
I think I've got one of the first edition, because the title track is mispelled as "Lateralis". Can someone confirm this please ?

I hope it's the glossy digipack...if not, there's the bonus DVD anyway. I've seen the footage before, where King - in full mask & outfit - recounts the story of the album on one take, which is pretty majestic and creepy at the same time...yeah, only for us fans! Plus of course, the album itself is one of the best albums King ever made! It was still on the tour for this album that I saw King live for the first time, it was in April 2006...me and my good friends had our faces painted for the occasion as well, one of us even had a top hat...it was a massive show even though King was close to cancel because of flu...sure, we were pretty hammered when the night was over...good memories from the time of this great album!

    18 is actually 9

Both random purchases from local store - haven't listened to either yet, so can't report any opinions (still listening to Testament in the car )

I thought for sure there was a 2006 reissue of the first three - but I would trust your judgement when it comes to something like this, especially considering that I have just started to reacquire Death CDs.

Ordered some essential albums that luckily happened to be on sale on Recordshop X - three albums for 18€:

"The consequence of conscience/Is that you'll be left somewhere/Swinging in the air"-Ronnie James Dio (1942-2010) R.I.P. King Of Metal
"Just take a look around you what do you see/Pain, suffering, and misery/It's not the way that the world was planned/It's a pity you don't understand" - Geezer Butler
"If god is in heaven/How can this happen here" - Phil Lynott (1949-1986)

Last year, I discovered the resurrected heavy metal band HELL featuring the world reknown Andy Sneap handling guitars and production. In the process, aided by the suggestions of my older friend, I also discovered the fierce vocalist Martin Walkyier and the old thrash metal band SABBAT.

Today I collected my customer order (Noise Records/Sanctuary Records Expanded Edition CD 2007) from the local Top Ten store for only 7,95 €...

I think this is the greatest British thrash metal album of all time to come...

Great purchase, I love Sabbat. Have you also tried Skyclad for more Walkyer-style goodness? The albums 'Burnt Offering for the Bone Idol', 'Jonah's Ark', 'The Silent Whales of Lunar Sea' and especially 'Prince of the Poverty Line' are all superb. Skyclad did get a bit patchy later, but those 4 albums are all well worth checking out, if you haven't already.

'Prince of the Poverty Line' has my favourite Walkyer performances of all, there's so much articulate venom in his delivery.

I know Skyclad by name but have never heard them...I do love Walkyier's vocals, they're venomous indeed!

Thank you Totentanz for the first actual recommendation of Skyclad, this is exactly one of the ways that I discover new bands - by a knowing recommendation from a long time fan.

The 2-CD edition by Relapse Records, and the company sleeve inside revealing that PETA has their support.
PETA? Holy hell, no. Excellent music, though.

    "Silver" edition with bonus tracks.

Both of these for only €20 combined.

When it comes to highly technical and progressive yet fiercely tasteful riff-loaded metal, in 13 years no other band in the genre has succeeded in making an album that is clearly more concise, exciting, powerful and timeless than this masterpiece. Chuck Schuldiner and his cohorts are still holding the top position of this genre with this mighty album.
