Well I don’t want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky
No I don’t want no one to tell me where I’m gonna go when I die
I wanna live my life, I don’t want people telling me what to do
I just believe in myself, ’cause no one else is true

Alice Cooper - Welcome 2 My Nightmare just arrived today! The package is really cool, on the digipack, there's a bonus poster included as well, but the art work on the album itself is awesome!

First impressions on the album are pretty darn good too! So far I'm really digging this one. Maybe not just as much as Along Came A Spider (which was an absolute masterpiece) but still Alice surely still has got it!

I just bought this today myself! No digipak here, just the cheapy copy from the store, I'm jealous

It reminds me a lot of Goes to Hell, which I think is an under rated album, so yeah, I kinda like it. Have to say I was pretty taken aback by the auto-tune, Christian Rock song that kicks things off, but it gets better from there. "Ghouls Gone Wild" is too damn catchy, dumb as hell (intentionally so), but catchy! Wouldn't be out of place on a Weird Al album...

    Worship Music - Anthrax

Whilst it is great to see Anthrax finally release a new album, it's a pity it John Bush at the mic

It's not that I dislike Joey Belladonna (though I think he looks very out of place on the Big 4 Blu Ray with everyone else on stage), more that I prefer John Bush. Still, I'm glad to see 'Thrax put out an album at last

Finished listening to it - pretty good. Joey's voice actually sounds fairly heavy. The couple of musical interludes throws the track sequence off though, and why can't the hidden track start 30 seconds after the last track instead of 5 minutes!

I've had the Part II (1995 - 2007) since it was released, but I've been looking for the Part I (1982 - 1995) for a more decent price...at last I found this, for only 12,00 € from the auction site, like brand new...

Seeds we Sow by Lindsey Buckingham. It's great, as is everything he does. I love it.

Seems like I've been getting lucky with deals this month, with Borders going out of business, Hot Topic charging 9.99, and my 5 dollar gift card at Best Buy.

    Picked up:
Evile - Five Serpents Teeth (I've been curious about this band for a while, going back and forth whether or not to take the plunge. In the end, it was the video for Cult which swayed me. The track was very Metallica in places but enjoyable. I'm looking forward to hearing the album.)
    Mastodon - The Hunter
Clutch - Live At The Googolplex

    On order (awaiting arrival):
Fear Factory - Demanufacture, Obsolete and Mechanize (Another band I've been curious about. A combination of hearing Self Bias Resistor and another track from Demanucature, two from obsolete (the only one I could name was a cover of Gary Numans Cars) and two from Mechanize and I didn't get the name of them - I missed the display on the music channel and didn't catch the names on Radio)
MAchine Head - Elegies DVD - as a result of The Blackening and Unto The Locuse I have been on a Machine Head kick as of late.

On Vinyl (on order awaiting arrival):
Machine Head - Through The Ashes... (Love this album)
MAchine Head - The Blackening (Whilst waiting to listen to the new album the day before Metal Hammers fan pack became available, I chose to listen to this. Now I must admit I didn't really get round to listening to it until now because it was, at the time, heavily hyped and to be honest I got fed up of reading about it. What a mistake. I ended up listening to it four times back-to-back and I love it. To me, Machine Head were always over-rated until Through The Ashes... - they were good but over-rated. They keep getting better now. My space for vinyl is limited so I have to selective at present but these two are excellent purchases. I hope Unto The Locust see's Vinyl)

I just picked up two concept albums yesterday, although I wasn't really thinking about it, lol.

Welcome 2 My Nightmare- Alice Cooper. Interesting album, overall I think its pretty good. A couple of his experiments turned out poorly, the cranked autotune on the first track made the song sound like an emo hip hop song. That made the song with Kesha on it the 2nd worst track on the album. Even that track had some positives to it, although nothing to do with Kesha. Those tracks aside the album is really quite entertaining.

Framing Armageddon- Iced Earth. One word best describes this concept album, and that word is EPIC.

I trust you're aware of the second and final part called The Crucible of Man (Matt Barlow rather Ripper on vocals, and a bit of let down compared to the first installment IMO!)

Yeah, I'm bummed that Ripper isn't on it too, but I'll be picking that up shortly after I really absorb the first with repeated listens.
