Black Sabbath TATTOO!

I took my first tattoo yesterday. The tattoo is Black Sabbath- logo; Flying Devil also known as Henry. Metal means everything for me. Without Black Sabbath there wouldn't have been metal music, without Black Sabbath, there would not be my band. Without Black Sabbath I would have never been introdused to metal, without Black Sabbath I would not be me.

I'm 17 years old "student boy" from Finland. I have 2 metal bands, I play bass in 'em. This tattoo stands for all the respect I give to Black Sabbath. The tattoo fills almost my whole right shoulder. It's so cool.

Is there any e-mail address that I could send it to make Ozzy, Tony, Geezer or Bill see it? Or someone who is a host in this site?

Congratulations on choosing a class tattoo. I also have the logo on my right upper arm, I suspect that quite a few people have it too.

I didn't know he was known as "Henry" is that right or was you joking? Anyway, good choice and I agree as it is Sabbath's symbol it is also a symbol for metal itself.

My design is all black with a slight red on the horns and on the tip of the tale, complete with star in hand. I am thinking about getting another Tat, for some reason I have the overwhelming urge to have a black rose bush close to it, curving and matching the lines of my arms. Green leafs and stems, with black roses. Don't know why this but I keep thinking about it??

Welcome to the club fellow Finn. I have the same tattoo Yeah it's called Henry if you believe what reads on the Doom Let Loose-book by Martin Popoff. It also tells that the logo was designed by Geezer, but it's not what a roadie says on the new DVD.

It's a top class choice for a tattoo....have it myself on my upper left arm..
His name is 'Henry'....Ronnie confirmed that for definite in a Classic Rock magazine feature a few years back..
The earliest picture of Henry that i've seen is on Bill's drum riser from around 1975/6...geezer currently has a print on his Bass also....

I just got mine the other day....I've wanted one for YEARS, and I decided that for my 39th birthday I was gonna do it. Had to have Henry, of course.....but I chose the script from "The Dio Years" CD. And, I had to look at the "Live Evil" cover to see what the heck Henry has in his hands- Star or globe? I'll take a pic once it quits flaking!

I'm not into tattoos but the Sabbath tattoo looks bad ass. Yes the logo is called Henry. You wont be working at a bank with the forearm tattoo. Good luck with your music carreer. Let us know when you have a demo out so we can listen to it.

I had the Black Sabbath cross from Mob Rules done, just with Heaven & Hell written instead of Sabbath for the 30th anniversary of Heaven And Hell...I was hoping to show it to Ronnie but that never happened since he passed away before I had the chance...it still makes me sad, but now it is something of a tribute for him tough...

Finally off to get my Sabbath tattoo next week. Its going to be Henry the Fying Devil, (a popular choice by the look of it) with some clouds/smoke surrounding it. Took a while to pluck up the courage, have'nt has a tattoo done for years, also the wife took some convincing to let me 'av it done. She finally realised that for me Sabbath is for life, ha, so she finally gave in, thankfully.

I did the demon-logo (Henry? What the hell kinda name is that?) as my first tattoo a couple of years back as well.
I did it at a friends who had just started out tattooing, and I wanted to suppot him and I also wanted a tattoo real bad. I thought about it for like a week (all my tattoos has been pretty much spur of the moment type deals like that) and decided on the Sabbath-logo because without them I wouldn't be where I am today, playing the kind of music I do with my band. And also I'll never stop worshipping Sabbath. So it wasn't really a hard choice.

Went to get some colour added to my Sabbath tattoo, all my other tatts are in colour and this black/grey one looked out of place. Colours are a bit brighter/darker than I wanted to be honest, hoping it settles down a bit once its healed.

I wanted to incorporate Henry somehow into the Heaven & Hell tattoo, but just didn't really find a way to do it well so I left it out...been bit regretful about it though...it was a big part of the Heaven & Hell era as well. Perhaps some day Henry will find a spot on my skin as well...
