The trouble with Sabbath (and other classic bands like Zeppelin and Rush) is that by solely listing their "classics" you've already got a 1h30+ show.

what I want to hear is the sessions for Heaven and Hell with Ozzy. Supposedly they started recording Children of the Sea, but Dio made up his own vocals for it.

no they didn't do children of the sea, that song was the first dio and tony came up with in the first session together. But i think i read that in how black was our sabbath, that weeks before ozzy was fired he was really getting into doing the album and i think he made the name Heaven and Hell up.

Good question as i've seen the Ozzy era of Black Sabbath in concert 3 times
Palace of Auburn Hills February 14th, 1999 Auburn Hills, Michigan (Detroit area)
Van Andel Arena August 18th, 1999 Grand Rapids, Michigan
DTE Energy Music Theater (Pine Knob) July 30th, 2001 Clarkston, Mi (Detroit area)

Tony Iommi and Geoff Nicholls actually performed the beginning of Dio era Die Young in the set at the Grand Rapids show and I so thought I was gonna see Ozzy sing Die Young too till it moved over to the song Snowblind but still that was incredible anyways.

Of course the shows have gotta have Iron Man, Paranoid and War Pigs as well, otherwise loads of fans will get ticked off for sure (well Ozzy can get away with not doing Iron Man and War Pigs solo and of all 4 times I saw him solo he did Paranoid all 4 times, he did War Pigs 3 times and Iron Man once out of the 4 solo concerts I went to, but all 3 Black Sabbath concerts I went to they did all 3 of those songs they have to do of course).

However is there anything I would like to see them do in a set that I didn't see them do before? absolutely of course, i'd love to see them to Symptom of The Universe but that is not gonna happen because Ozzy apparently can't hit the notes on that one (Zakk Wylde wanted to play it before but Ozzy said no to performing it, I did see Ozzy's solo band perform part of it when Joe Holmes played Guitar for him at Ozzfest 2000).

I would like to see them do Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (I saw them do part of that at Ozzfest 2001 before doing Paranoid), Supernaut (I saw them do beginning of that before doing Paranoid at the Grand Rapids concert), i'd also like to see them do something from Never Say Die like Never Say Die, Johnny Blade, Junior's Eyes, Hard Road (which other members of Sabbath sang back up on, Geezer for sure, Tony said he did too, and I can hear Bill sing backing vocals on it too, and I would love to see a backing vocal mic put by Bill for A Hard Road if they ever play it onstage).

Oh and I would also love to see the Ozzy line up perform at least 1 Dio era song, preferably Heaven and Hell (I so wanna hear Ozzy sing Heaven and Hell, I have thoughts in my head of how Heaven and Hell would sound with Ozzy singing it, and I really wanna hear it too, I may not get my wish though).

Oh I would also like to see them perform The Writ as well as Hole In The Sky.

Mine would be every Ozzy era song

As long as I'm dreaming I can include Ozzy in top form, right? Right? Right.

Just an idea of what I'd kill to see. I haven't really listened to Sabbath on a regular basis in a while so I'm probably missing a few key tracks.

    Black Sabbath
    NIB
    Dirty Women
    Hole In The Sky
    Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
    The Writ
    Sweet Leaf
    Fairies Wear Boots
    Behind the Wall of Sleep
    Snowblind
    Hand of Doom
    War Pigs
    Wicked World
    Rat Salad
    Iron Man
    Electric Funeral
    Solitude (abridged)
    Into the Void
    Embryo
Children of the Grave (with original album "whispers" outro)
    Encore:
    Never Say Die
    Supernaut
    Paranoid

I haven't replied in this thread? :S Ok lets see, we'll say 18 songs total. Here we go (the songs with impossible vocal melodies are intended to be rewritten to suit Ozzy's declining voice):

    Intro tape - Supertzar
    1. Children of the Grave
    2. A National Acrobat
    3. Gypsy
    4. Orchid/Lord of This World
    5. Symptom of the Universe
    6. Cornucopia
    7. Behind the Wall of Sleep
    8. N.I.B.
    9. Spiral Architect
    10. Under the Sun
    11. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
    12. Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener
    13. Planet Caravan
    14. Solitude
    15. Laguna Sunrise/Looking for Today
    16. Wicked World
    17. Megalomania
    18. Never Say Die
    Outro tape - Fluff

I like the idea of having a soft set almost toward the end there, and then kick back into hard rock with Looking for Today :D Also, I actually don't have anything against Iron Man/War Pigs/Paranoid at the moment, they are just weaker songs than these that's all. I'd love to hear them live as well, and I know I will ^^. Argh... now I wanna listen to this setlist... but I have to sleep... damnit :D
"There in the middle of the circle he stands, searching, seeking, with just one touch of his trembling hand, the answer will be found.
Daylight waits while the old man sings, heaven help me! And then like the rush of a thousand wings, it shines upon the one. And the day has just begun..."
    (1975)
-Ronnie James Dio, Rest in Peace

"In the summer days we flew to the sun, on melting wings, but the seasons changed to fast, leave us all behind... Blind..." (1969)
    - Jon Lord, Rest in Peace

Well I don’t want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky
No I don’t want no one to tell me where I’m gonna go when I die
I wanna live my life, I don’t want people telling me what to do
I just believe in myself, ’cause no one else is true

They get up on stage and start playing all of MY songs! Like the ones I wrote! Then they push Tony off stage and I come up and take his place, and secretly stab Ozzy in the back so I can SING all the songs too! And the crowd is going wild, perfect shaped boobies bouncing around freely, everybody throwing cash and designer drugs with no side effects at me!

...and then I enter the stage with my trusty cowbell and start a hypnotizing rhytm pattern overshadowing your performance in the process, and leave with all the boobies, cash and designer drugs.

I'd attend that show. Though Ozzy getting stabbed might be a sad thing but there's no way in hell that a simple knife is enough to kill him anyway ^^
