Very nice job!
I posted a video review of the first Black Sabbath album - the new 2 CD release. I show off the packaging, and talk about it. Video runs about five minutes. Check it out:

I tried viewing with both Mozilla Firefox & Internet Explorer and I keep getting the stop, start, stop, start problem. Could the YouTube system have reeked havoc with the file size of the video or is it just my pc?
"So if you want to know where I've been hiding all these years, follow the tears.. follow the tears.."
^^^ I had the same problem when I viewed the video. Nonetheless, a great, unique and very informative way to introduce the release. Thanks for your effort in making the vid., Joe!

Joe I've have over the last two years have heard many Youtubers review various different things, and I got to say, you did a very good job on this review. A 10/10, straight-forward review. People can write good reviews, but it takes a lot to present one's view orally and clearly. With that said, good job, loved the review, and hey, maybe you should do it more often on your free time of course. Once again, rock on.![]()

Let me tell you now, about a friend of mine. He tried to shoot them lights, with whiskey and the wine. He didn't get so far, ah his gun was wrong. Now my sweet friend, where's your song? Shoot out the lights, shoot out the lights.
Try this link. I'm guessing you're having hitching because your computer and/or internet connection is having issues keeping up with the HD video stream.
This is lower quality.

Well, I had over 15 years of experience writing stuff for my company, I have an idea what makes a somewhat decent one.I plan on doing them for Paranoid & Master of Reality, too.

Thanks for the link to the non-HD video! That did the trick for me! No stop-start prob's!

Nice vid. Just a slight correction though, the poem IS in the booklet. It's on the first page.

The book with that black & white photo you speak of (in the studio with the box of Swan matches on the window), I always remember it to be in the one by Chris Welch (1982). Great photo it is too.
Watch out, Joe ! There's a Dalek behind you !!!!!!!
Tony Iommi Fact #216: In fact, most demolition companies don’t use explosives to collapse buildings, only a good stereo and a copy of “Dehumanizer”.

Just wanted to add 2 things:
1. I'm insulted, I know what an 8track is.Just kidding, but I do know what it is.
2. Bit Rate Biggot, love that combination of words.

Great review Joe!
nice review Joe, geez $36 bucks in the US , brought mine only for $22 Aussie
Minor updates to my review. The book I mention towards the end is not Mark Weiss, he was the photographer, I believe. And the poem from the original release *IS* here, but not the upside down cross. That was my error.

Had to watch it twice. I didn't really pay attention the first time around as I was too busy lusting after your Battlestar Galactica action figure
Great review.![]()
Nice one Joe! Keep em' coming!

That was going to be my next question or suggestion. I can't wait for them! And Joe, thanks for the link to the lower quality vid., I'll check it out soon.

Great Review man! I really like the extra photos that they included, even though they are just printed on the inside and stuff, they seem pretty awesome to me. That little extended booklet seems pretty awesome as well.

Well formulated review![]()
Nice commercial, not a review. There was no criticism. In my opinion these Deluxe Editions (filled with karaoke tracks) deserve a bit of criticism.
Don't care which God you follow, whose promises you swallow.
Well blackstone i can actually agree with you on the bonus tracks i wanted more unreleased songs then alternative versions and singback versions...but im mostly looking forward to the vol 4 SBS and Sabotage era those bonustracks night be nore interesting considering iommi was spending more time in the studio working/reworking material
I hope they include this review in 50th anniversary edition of the first album as a bonus video...
Just kidding, nice review
great review...
Nice to meet the man behind this great website...
---- How is the Job hunting going?? I am going through the same thing as u -- i am losing my IT job (of 13 years) to Indian Outsourcing - I will start training my replacement this Monday --- I work for a typical scum sucking fortune 500 company - the are the root of all evil.
Uh, there isn't a whole lot wrong with them, hence not a lot negative to say. I do mention the instrumentals, and say "You could use them as karaoke, I suppose". That to me was a blowing off of them.
I don't believe that just to be a review you have to have criticisms. If it's warranted, yes - but your statement infers that it's not a review because there's no criticism. You want to criticize them? Do your own review. My review is MY OPINION. Don't like it? Lump it. That's how I feel about it.
Plus I was reviewing JUST the first one. When I do the one for Paranoid, I'll have more to say about the instrumentals.

So when is the paranoid review coming ? would like to hear your take on it![]()
Any dates for the other Ozzy era albums being released in Deluxe Edition? I went through the thread but didn't see mention of this. Sorry if I missed it! Reallly looking forward to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Vol. 4 and Sabotage. Would also be curious what (if any) bonus material might be available in a deluxe edition of Born Again.
