Who knows? There were/are rumours... but Bob Daisley likes that kind of stuff. personally I don't think it would ever have happened. I certainly haven't seen the only man that matters make any confirmation that score...

This sort of rumour happens any time two or more members of an old band get onstage together.

Why? Reforming ONE line-up immediately makes it better than all others?? Van Halen reformed with Hagar BEFORE they reformed with DLR... but I'm sure most VH fans wouldn't say it was the better line up!!!

Yep. You even quoted me saying so in one of your replies.

I loved EVERY show that I saw with Rainbow... even the Bonnet gigs at Wembley & Donnington. As I said RB didn't hire hacks.

You seem to be under the impression that I've said somewhere that I don't like certain Rainbow line-ups, but I loved them all. Bonnet struggled with quieter stuff... JLT was embarrassing to watch at times... White could appear a bit workmanlike at times... Dio always played the same few songs.... but the thing is, RAINBOW is probably only second to Zep in my most loved rock acts... I have great memories of each time i saw them.

Hi Cozy Fan - if you want some good videos of the other Rainbow eras live - check out the Live Between the Eyes video - here's a link to the first part on Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNg1G...eature=related

There are some of the Doogie White era as well - I only saw 2 eras of Rainbow live - the Dio & JLT lineups but from the Cd & videos I've seen Doogie does a good job on the older material they played - look for it on youtube as well

I'm getting that impression because you got in my face about liking the lineup I've only seen on the live in Munich DVD. I also got the impression you don't like Cozy Powell because you were giving me shit about my user name. Yes, I like Cozy's music, and yes he was a great drummer, but as I've said before he's not the only drummer I like. John Bonham, Don Henley, Phil Collins, and Roger Taylor (Queen) rank very high on my list of drummers. Why do you have a problem with my user name? If I had shown up here with the user name of Tony Iommi Fan with a picture of him as my avatar, and came into this discussion saying the same thing I said, would you give me the same kind shit? I'm just wondering.

kamilkazetom, thanks for the link, I shall check it out.

    Oh please.

I didn't get in your face. You're being very over-sensitive about this.

Don't like Cozy? Suuuuure. Let's see...

I met him several times & spent some quality time with him over many a drink.

I saw him live -in various bands- SEVENTEEN times.

You need to read around the site a bit before you make accusations like that...

The fact is you DIDN'T come here with an Iommi avatar... You came here with a Cozy avatar, a Cozy username & made the oh-so-unexpected statement that Rainbow suffered musically AFTER COZY LEFT. You didn't mention singers or line-ups in that post... Just Cozy.

You seem to enjoy taking offense at the smallest thing. I don't know why you quoted what you did there ^... I was trying to tell you what I thought about the various rainbow vocalists... You see an insult...

First of all, my first comment in this thread was in response to someone saying that the death of Dio was the end of Rainbow. I simply stated that in my opinion the Rainbow lineup I would have liked to have seen died with Cozy. It was as simple as that. I never mentioned any singers or the fact that their music suffered after Cozy left until you asked me about my comment. I was simply stating my OPINION nothing more.

Second, I had no idea you had seen Cozy play that many times. Or that you had ever met him. I'm sorry.

Third, yes I picked Cozy Powell Fan as a user name and have a picture of him as my avatar, so what. It might not be a very original user name, but it reflects who I like. I am on two Queen message boards and my user name there is Brian's Biggest Fan, not very original, but it reflects the fact that my favourite member is Brian May. I also go by Tim's Angel on an Eagles message baord, again not very original, but it's a reflection of the member I like and something that is personal to me.

For your information, I only made the comment about Rainbow's music suffering after Cozy left after you made the comment about my liking the lineup I've seen only on DVD, as I stated above. Again, I only stated my opinon and that was it. The last time I checked, everyone was entitled to their opinion. I wasn't expecting anyone to take me to task for only liking one pirticular era of Rainbow. I have said before I know what I like from Rainbow and it's the era where Cozy was drummer. And it really has nothing to do with his drumming. It's the songs from that era I like. And while I do like the songs off the first album, I don't think they're as strong as what was on some of the later albums.

I signed up for this site because I'm into Sabbath. And I needed some help with a project I'm working on. But, I guess nobody can help me with my project because I haven't gotten any replies to my request. I wasn't looking into getting into a debate over anything with anyone. This is just getting stupid.
