Default The crowd was very very respectful...

I was very proud of our metal brethren, for the most part, at the Memorial..very respectful and appropriately boisterous at the right times. At the the end I looked across the grounds and nary was a piece of trash and litter. That brought a bit of a smile to my face, I must say.

Love and evil are completely and utterly incongruent.

God bless Ronnie and his family in this painful time.

To be fair though, I doubt Dio would've cared. Dragons, and Deamons, it's what he's all about. He probably took amusment from up above, or down below, whereever he went. I will say that he is TOO good for Hell.

But really though, he was probably too busy sitting at God's right hand side, teaching him breathing techniques to worry about his mortal memorial.

For those wondering about the loud fan freakout guy at the San Bernadino record signing ~ he shows up here at about the 8 min. mark.

no yelling no screaming this time ~ you can tell he's been deeply affected ........

If the guy with the devil mask on in the video is the "knucklehead" you mean, the guy seemed to be mourning just like the rest of the people there, he sounded very respectful and articulate. I mean, there was a dark-side theme to a lot of Ronnie's music, I can't say that the devil guy looked completely out of place there. This was not Lawrence Welk's memorial service, remember.

I really don't have a problem with that kind of stuff. Now, if one of those Baptist demonstrators had someone dress like that as a derogatory statement, it would have been a whole different story. But these people just seem like fans, sharing their grief with people who love the same kind of music to me.

It's great that everyone was respectful.

I probably would have stuck out like a sore thumb if I was able to go to the memorial because I would have worn a suit.

The people dressed up in costumes doesn't really bother me too much. They probably thought since Ronnie was such a good natured guy with a great sense of humor he would get a kick out of it. Judging by the reviews and the videos I've seen online, I think Ronnie would have been very proud at how the ceremony was.

It's also nice to know that guy who went nuts at that H&H signing last year wasn't just some drunken idiot and was actually a really big fan.

Damian is correct in his words. Thank you. I removed some of the words as I was being judgmental.
I did not speak to these people therefore do not know what was in their heart, except they loved Ronnie enough to be there. Bless them for that. My apologies for anyone that I offended, especially to the people I originally referenced in my mean comments.
