UPDATE ON SHIPPING OF THANK YOU MEMORIAL PACKAGES. 6/12/2010 4:53:06 PM

We would like to thank all those who have made donations to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.
We have received over 5,000+ contributions in the first few days of June alone! Our teams of volunteers are working hard to send out the Thank You Memorial Packages to acknowledge these kind donations.

Due to the tremendous response to the Fund, it will take several weeks for us to ship out the majority of these gifts. Please make sure you indicate your preferred Size in the notes, as no size listed will delay Shipping even more. Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2XL, 3XL and 4XL. It's also noted that there are now TWO corresponding buttons on the RJD site - The one on the right, which has been there for a couple weeks, is for straight donations. There is now another one on the left, as of yesterday, specifically for donations intended for ordering the memorial package. I ordered the memorial package when there was only the one button on the right, I'm sure they just added the other on the left to help staff differentiate and expedite orders given the large response.

It's great news that the fund is getting a lot of donations! I made on on the day of the memorial...Might get the memorial package too...I'm not sure since I'm bit short and cash at the moment....

It arrived in the mail today (I ordered as soon as they were offered) - THANK YOU to everyone involved! They're using flat-rate postage, so every penny of postage charged is the actual cost, by the way.

I'm positively thrilled with the package, but most of all, I feel like this one drop in the bucket is part of the larger, much greater whole, supporting RJD's final thrust of defiance. HAILS!

Just got mine a couple of days ago.

I have to say that it was a bit of a sad reminder that he really is gone, and I felt a little twinge of pain. Then I reminded myself that his works will live on forever, and I felt a little better.

Got an e-mail a few days ago saying that my package was shipped. It's been over a month since I made the donation. So it's good to know that nothing got goofed up and they were just behind on the orders like they said they were.

hmm...I don't think mine has been shipped yet.....oh well I m happy to hear they are getting out to people, so hopefully mine will come soon.

I received my package last Wednesday 7/7/10. I thought the program was really nice . This is something I will treasure this because not every fan will be able to receive this package especially those who cannot afford to send money. Thank you Wendy and God Bless Ronnie James Dio.

Got my package yesterday. All of it is very cool. Though i'm not sure when i'd ever where the button at all

It's still a nice colectable though. The program was put together very well and is a very beautiful thing. The shirt, which i'm wearing right now, is cool as well. I kind of get the impression that the design on the front of the shirt is supposed to be like the ghost of Ronnie. At least that's what I see it as. It's telling me that even though he's gone from the earth his soul continues to sing and entertain in the afterlife.

We will refund your donation back to your PayPal account or issue your check back. If you decide that you still want the Thank You Gift, you need not contact us or do anything, it will still be sent to you without the booklet. It sucks beyond my understanding that if someone cancels the donation just because the memorial booklet became available, they still get the t-shirt & button. And hey, the memorial package was lovingly & considerately made, free of separate charge, even for those who didn't attend the service. Moreover, one can make donations even after July when the package becomes unavailable, hopefully all donors who want the memorial package know about this schedule.

Some guy here in Finland said that these memorial packages will probably be sold on eBay as well, if they are not already...I don't even want to know the amount of these items if they become for sale on eBay...

As stated at the site 11 days ago, and alluded to in message #11:

"To make the Ronnie James Dio Memorial Package special, we will no longer be offering the T-Shirt, Memorial Program and Button with your donation as of July 31, 2010. "

With only two weeks left, no sense in reprinting them now.

Actually there is no sense at all not to keep those special memorial Shirt , Booklet and buttom available to all fans all the time through RJD's new upcoming official merchandise ! there is a huge demand on these items and it will certainly make both parties happy and satisfied ( more money could be raised through these items and certainly more fans will be happy and content to get them as well !).

Personally Ive made a donation and still havent got my package yet , if the booklet is not there I will have to look for it on Ebay for example and pay much more senseless cash to get it ! so where is the sense in this ?

Nunoni , we all knew ( including Dio's managnment) its going to happen sooner or later , so why not cut all this crap and give the fans what they want and demand ? its really plain and simple , just have it re-printed and offered seperately as part of RJD's new official merchandise store.

Really, just take a step back and look at the bigger picture. I believe this item, which is closely associated with Dio's passing, is going to be retired to make way for other stuff that will continue to plug Stand Up And Shout. In fact, I'd be shocked if they didn't.

the point is that it is something related to Dio's funeral. It's a one off thing. It should not be reprinted. It should also not be sold on ebay.
