I found Cross Purposes Live on Tradera (swedish eBay) today, for a reasonable price.
Only problem is that it's got the sticker on it that says something like "exclusive live cd only available with this vhs". And the VHS wasn't included. So I never bid on it. What do you think? Is it worth a bid anyways?

It's a great concert for sure but honestly it's more worth it to get the combo in my opinion. I mean granted my VCR did eat the tape within a few days of getting it (Talk about rage inducing), but I still keep the box and tape around because they are just that cool. But yeah man, I recommend looking for the combo, just for the satisfaction of knowing that you have both. But it's your call man.

I just got Tır in the post today for under $10 US. Its for a fan overseas. I just need Headless Cross now. The shop last week only had the tape. If it were for me, I'd settle for that (on import though). Theres a sale Sunday so I'll try my luck there. I'm on a wild goose chase here! This guy doesn't want me to spend too much on one CD. If you haven't gotten the albums you want, don't give up! I did bid on HC on eBay the other day but I was outbid (go figure!).

I picked CP Live up in a used CD store a number of years ago... CD only without the VHS. I've got no regrets about buying it!

I have all the Tony Martin Black Sabbath cd's and the Cross Purposes Live VHS tape, since I have been a fan since the 1980's but what they should do with out of print albums is release them on I Tunes, so fans could still download the album, and the band could still make money on these out of print albums.

If Dehumanizer can get a deluxe remaster theres hope for this vintage of the band. Thats owned by EMI outside North America as are the Martin albums except The Eternal Idol (last one for Vertigo/PolyGram except the US and Canada). I've heard of Hastings from someone in Arizona but we don't have it in the Northeast US.
I'm still on the lookout for Headless Cross on CD without paying a fortune. It ought to be reissued in time for the tour by Tonys spinoff band.

I think I finally found a copy of Headless Cross in my price range. I went to Yardsellr and found it under $10. I even had earned credits to boot! I've persevered and waited. If any of you are still looking, don't give up. I still hope these albums get reissued in future so we don't have to go on a Holy Grail search anymore. I managed to also find Tır for less as I said earlier. Neither of these are counterfeits which we should avoid of course. I'm lucky to find a compilation of this vintage at the shops (the one shown in "Van Sabbaths" profile).
EMI had a Classic Rock Series in the EU that also had Michael Schenker Groups first album which I found affordably as well so that was a sign.

I remember seeing a 2nd-hand copy of TYR.
But I bought Master of Reality at last coz I was not yet very interested in Martin era albums...

I already have two import copies of Master of Reality. A band from my area used the name as their own. There are also a band called Tır. You may have heard of both of them and they have to have been inspired by Sabbath like many metal and hard rock bands from the past few generations.
As for Headless Cross I'm arsed to get a hold of the one who sold it to me to see if he sent it yet. Getting to the post office takes no time at all or if you have a printer you could print the postage label. Even a package from Russia is coming today (the one who sent it is the one who wanted me to get him both these rare gems).

We have a Hastings here, and they are pretty good, but I still don't think you'd find much Sabbath other than the norm. The only thing different I've seen at ours was Born Again. No Martin albums I've ever seen there.

    Post At long last!

I ordered Rush from them instead via eBay. I wish they'd open in my area as I know where they could open up, but thats a story for another day. I've checked the indie shops and only saw the tape at one out of town. Might have seen a new CD once.
As for Headless Cross, its finally here and it checks out (everythings in it and its legit)! Having a listen now. Not half-bad so its worth the price of admission. I'll let it grow on me so I'll get an import in future if need be as the US CD I have is already planned to go to someone overseas who has a long laundry list of rare CDs (the band Gillan are the only thing close to Sabbath left to get him).
I have ideas for the remaster but theres already a thread for that so look for it.
I told a fan group on Facebook about this and Joe provided a link to here. Asking about this lost classic should go in the FAQ!

Yeah, good luck on that one! Very hard to find that one, it's the only one I don't have as well.

That is, unless you are willing to pay the expensive price tag for it on Amazon or ebay because it is pretty pricey.

Here's a cool tip on how to find these for the best prices. Go to google.com and type in the album name, click the 'shopping' tab and there you will be able to find the cheapest price of the album.

Good job man, I got all of the for around 10 bucks or so, you may have to pay around 15 or so plus shipping for a couple, but just be patient and keep looking.

I have a few bids on Headless Cross and Cross Purposes right now, they don't end for a few days so I'll just bide my time until then, but I am happy with this one! Some guy wanted me to pay $30 + shipping for Headless Cross even though the booklet had sharpie markings inside of it, I passed saying I could get it for $20 or so on Amazon without the markings.

Just two more to go and I will have all the Black Sabbath albums. And Cross Purposes and Forbidden are gonna be easy. They have brand new copies on amazon.com for $29.99 and used copies of Forbidden for as cheap as $15.00. W00t!
It took me a while to find them, but I eventually hunted them all down, got the last, Headless Cross, a few months ago. Managed to pay 10-15 for each, but it took me two years.

I found a brand new copy of Tyr for $7.99 at Sam Ash (Goody?) Music in their discount bin, about ten years ago. It was when they still had cd stores in the mall. I couldn't BELIEVE MY EYES when I saw it, because even then it was a rare find. To me, it was like finding a hundred dollare bill on the ground, in front of a bunch of people. I snatched that cd REAL FAST. Funny thing is that nobody would have even noticed the cd, I just was THINKING somebody else would have bought it.

Does anyone own the Black Sabbath compilation "The Sabbath Stones" its sort of a "best of" of the Tony Martin years it even has the rare song "Loser Gets it All" included, amazon.com seems to have a lot of them at a fair price.

I have it as well. I bought it awhile back solely for Loser Gets It All. I was having a difficult time finding a Japanese print of Forbidden to go with my Japanese Cross Purposes. It is a very good compilation of the IRS years plus Disturbing the Priest, Heart Like a Wheel and The Shining. I recommend it. I got mine new and it was a Korean Promo version which I thought was awesome! My Japanese Cross Purposes is a promo as well. Unfortunately my Japanese Forbidden that I did obtain a couple months ago isn't a promo. That would've been way too cool.

    Edit:
I also thought it was kind of strange yet cool how Loser Gets It All is omitted from the Japanese press of the album but it doesn't add anything new. So the Japanese press lacks one track. The Brazilian pressing lacks Kiss of Death and Guilty as Hell but has Loser Gets it all. So that one only has 14 tracks. Kinda strange much?

I was pissed off at first as Tony Martins was the only Black Sabbath Records/CDs I needed. I luckily have all 18 albums now I managed to get all Tony Martin era albums on Amazon at brilliant prices.
    Headless Cross (New) £10
    TYR (New) £15
    Cross Purposes (New) £9
    Forbidden (New) £19
Forbidden price bit expensive for cd but for me I needed all Sabbath's Studio Albums so I bought it I mean Brand New not used course I was gonna get it
