A Great Show To Honor A Great Man-July 23 @ Toad's

On May 16th, 2010 the rock world lost an icon and I lost a true friend of just under 20 years. Ronnie James Dio lost his battle with stomach cancer. The legendary Toad's Place in New Haven, Connecticut and my bandmates in Megahertz are assisting me in not only paying homage to Ronnie but, helping the Dio Stand Up & Shout Cancer Fund...An organization founded by Wendy Dio dedicated to finding cancer BEFORE it spreads.

As many of you may know, Toad's Place in New Haven has been allowing me to hold the annual "Big Jim's Birthday Bash-A Night Of Candles, Cake & Condoms" at their wonderful club. There have been many GREAT bands that has shared the stage with me and my pals in Megahertz. And this year is no different...On July 23rd, Megahertz will be playing the 7th "ANOC,C & C along with some great bands. The difference is, however...

1) Megahertz will be performing an all Dio set...A 1st for us.
2) There will be raffles and all of the proceeds will go to the Dio Stand Up & Shout Cancer Fund
3) All of the band proceeds will go the Dio SU&S Cancer Fund as well
4) We plan on having an all star band perform Ronnie's song to aid famine relief, "Stars". Confirmed artists to perform full sets:

The man has toured with Iced Earth, Enslaved, Genitorturers, Cradle Of Filth, Arch Enemy, All That Remains, Mnemic, Lizzy Borden, Lordi, Into Eternity, Kill Hannah, Saviours, Mortiis, Finntroll, and HavocHate and designed the lighting rig for the Regeneration Tour 08 featuring The Human League, Belinda Carlisle, ABC, A Flock Of Seagulls, and Naked Eyes not to mention countless bands at the Webster, most notably, Thin Lizzy and Ratdog.

Admission is just $5.00 and that includes a FREE beer...Slightly more and without the beer for under 21 peeps. But the $5.00 price is ONLY for those with discount vouchers...Ask me how to get em. We need your help in promoting this event. You can start by reposting the event on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter ,etc. Then you can help the bands in distributing the discounted ticket vouchers...Ask me how. You can even repost and/or get tickets out there whether you're attending, or not. Or you can get/give donations for the raffles. Any help you can give would be GREATLY appreciated.
