Born Again
Bark At The Moon
Born Again. Only tracks that I'm not that really into are Keep It Warm and Hot Line. On the other hand the only tracks that I can really get into from BATM are the title track, Rock n Roll Rebel, and Centre of Eternity.
As an aside, when I used to dj at the community college back home every time I played the song "Born Again" I always got either someone to call in and ask who that was or someone stop in the studio and ask who it was because they liked the song.
BATM. I like both albums quite a bit, but Bark little bit more.
I like 'em both of course, but I'm going to go with BATM.
I'd have to go with Bark at the Moon even though this topic has made sure I will be listening to born again on the way to and from work. I always forget that Bill played drums on this album. Making Ian Gillan one of only three men to play with this lineup.
Hey maybe I'll wait to officially vote until after I've listened again today. I do know that I have always felt Ian's screams were either just not taking it seriously or "I'm going to really show off what my voice can do to a ridiculous degree, even at the expense of an album" or maybe he really just thought it sounded good to scream every five minutes. I do really like zero the hero for the music but not the lyrics. I also like trashed and born again. I find now you see it, so tired, and waiting for darkness, and you're no different kinda boring but the overplayed title track as well as rock-n-roll rebel and center of eternity are some of my favorite songs of ozzy.
How was I to know it was "kiss the world with winter flowers"?
Bark. Just like it more. I love Trashed, Zero, & Digital Bitch (& the Fallen), but most of the other tracks just don't do much for me. And really the mix has something to do with it as well. Just not what it should be.
Even though Bark sounds a little too 80's-centric production wise, the songs grab me more. Rebel, You're No Different, Now You See It, Centre of Eternity, & Waiting for Darkness are songs I still get into from that album. Slow Down is definitely forgettable (although great solo from Jake). Never liked So Tired all that much, like it less now then I did back in the 80's. But that's more or less the only one I really don't like from BATM.
"Clutching violently we whisper with a liquefying cry
Any deadly final answers that are surely doomed to die."
I went with Bark at The Moon...I like it just that little bit more than Born Again- though that album is excellent as well.
Do what thou will shall be the whole of the law
I'd probably go with Born Again as well. On almost every Ozzy solo album there are a couple of tracks that I don't really like as opposed to Sabbath where I like everything that they ever did. Plus I listen to Born Again more.
Def Born Again. I don't really care for Bark At the Moon, except for the title track and maybe one or two more. In my ook, it's one of the weakest Ozzy-albums from the 80s, maybe over-all as well. Not up to par with Blizzard and Madman AT ALL.
you got a killer scene there, man...

I voted Born Again, though I like both albums.
I won't ask you again if a chill comes to your hand, some day I'm going back to a world I understand.
born again is a great album, a hell of a lot better than bark at the moon, i bought both when they came out and bark at the moon was played only once, sabbath on the other hand was played to death, bark at the moon was the start of ozzy's bad album period, not until no rest for the wicked did he start releasing good albums again
Bark At The Moon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Production was way better and Jake's guitar was mean!
