I admit it. I enjoyed the George Lopez show. I'd was quite surprised tonight when I was watching an episode on Nick at Nite that they made Black Sabbath referencein one of the earlier episodes. I knew he was a fan of classic rock like KISS and such. Never knew he was a Sabbath fan
you know george grew-up across the street from my family here in the city of san fernando
all my life he has been a friend to me and my brothers we even went to see KISS together
at magic mtn back in '77 and we went to see sabbath in long beach'77,when ozzy came on his show-and benifit show he sent me and my brother back stage passes and introduced us to ozz'n sharon no dobt he is a hard rocker!
he used to write on the walls around the hood (GEORGE HRF) hrf meant-hard rock freak.![]()
i've known george all my life he grew up with us-here in san fernando, cal
he lived on hagar st-and we were on next st maclay--as kids i can tell you
he came with me and my brothers to see kiss at magic mountain back in '77
and i know he went to cal music fest at coliseum where dio-sabbath-halen
jammed--we don't see him much anymore since his grand mother passed and cause
he's a big shot now,but yeah he's a rocker
Dan Akyroyd and John Belushi (RIP) are/were big time Sabbath fans.
I remember an episode or two of SNL where they mention them. Akyoyd was playing the role of a DJ and played some Black Sabbath. I think it was Symptom but I'm not sure on that.
"There's no need to have a reason...there's no need to wonder why"
yeah i have but that and a quarter still could'nt get me a phone call
maybe living in la-helps ,but george to me ain't no star-we know him more like
family friend-niehboor,i always laugh cause my mom said one day"who would have known
the ugliest kid in the niehboor hood would grow up to be a star"

I've never seen the episode, but my brother told me about it. He said that they play the intro to "Thrill of it All".
Edit: after some searching here it is. It is TOIA, plays for about 2 seconds starting around 3:20
