I don't think they actually are, I mean sure they use lots of occult imagery and such, but I think thats just a part of playing the role you know?

And Axe, what made you say "they're quite good", in your opening post? What did you hear then? Just half a song, maybe?

As for your original question, I don't believe they are Satanists----but even if they were, it wouldn't make a difference to me at all, either. Most importantly, I really like the band. Great music, great vocals...enough said!

Electric Wizard rule! They aren't Satanists. They are obsessed with horror movies and occult imagery, and are major potheads (or, at least Jus is, don't know about the rest of the group nowadays). There is a good interview with them in February's Decibel. The new album is awesome! Definitely one of my favorite bands.

..does this maybe explain it ...anyway I like them sober or inebriated though I admit it took a while to get used to the style of vocals.

You should really give the new one a shot- I think it is even better than Dopethrone!
