Default why wasn't all night long by the scorpions released on a album?

I'm a massive 70's Uli Roth era Scorpions fan, and play tokyo tapes everynight, and i was wondering why wasn't All night long on a studio album?

I just listened to this version, and it was a decent song. Maybe the band didn't think it was up to their standards. Or, maybe it was a new song that would've been on the next album if Uli didn't split.

Oddly enough, the main riff reminds me a LOT of the Hole in the Sky riff.

Anything from In Trance to Tokyo Tapes is essential...they were still finding their feet with Fly To The Rainbow.

I don't know where I get this, but something tells me that "All Night Long" may have been the B-side of a single..."We'll Burn The Sky," maybe?

My CD of Taken By Force has the studio "Suspender Love" and the live "Polar Nights" left off the CD of Tokyo Tapes.

I would have loved to have seen them in the Ulrich Roth days, but I was only 12 when he left the band.

I did see them in 1984, and it was worth it (a then-unknown Bon Jovi supported, played 20 minutes and were virtually booed offstage...I thought "this lot will never go anywhere!"), but they didn't do anything older than Lovedrive. I would have liked to have heard Matthias Jabs (under-rated player) get stuck into something like "Virgin Killer" (the song), "Speedy's Coming," or "Steamrock Fever."
He is not here. He has risen!

I always wondered the same thing about All Night Long, a great track.

The Roth era Scorps were sensational, classic albums.

I saw the Scorps for the first time in 1980 on the Animal Magnetism tour with the excellent Blackfoot supporting, I remember them playing an awesome version of pictured Life.
I know for the next 2 or 3 tours, they dropped all Roth era songs but brought them back at a later date.

This is a bit off topic, but Blackfoot was an incredibly good live act. I remember hearing a story that some band that Blackfoot was opening for, U.F.O. If I recall correctly, told their manager never to get Blackfoot open to them again, because they blew them off the stage
