After having read Garry Sharpe-Young's account in the "Never Say Die" book, as well as Iommi's book, I can well understand Martin not wanting to get involved with the Sabbath machine again, even if he bears no particular ill will towards Iommi. It's not just as simple as Martin having been given his walking papers a couple times in favor of Dio and Ozzy. Martin was treated like an afterthought once the Dehumanizer thing started. Even Iommi admits in his book that Martin didn't get a fair deal. Martin probably fears that he would be screwed over again.

I am sure that Martin also actually WOULD be screwed over again. But now we got the reunion with Ozzy, and no matter when that falls apart I feel quite certain that it is the last thing to happen labeled "Black Sabbath". A reunion with Tony Martin won't happen, I'm just hoping to see the Tony Martin Band on tour some day.

I would like to see that, too. However, I also wish that Iommi and Martin could work together again outside the context of Sabbath. They had a good writing chemistry. Unfortunately, I doubt it will happen.
