Thread: Geezer's book

    Default Geezer's book

I don't hang out here all that much but I did a search and came up empty. No thread about the book Geezer's working on? I heard it on the local lame rock radio station this morning. If THEY take the time to mention it, it has to have been talked about SOMEWHERE here. Point me to a link.

There was an audio clip of the 'interview' Ms. Miller had with him but I could not hear it well enough to try and quote anything. Their web site it crap so it is near impossible to find the clip. I did find another one a few years ago but for the life of me I cannot see a link. Maybe they only put up text these days. Email her, Joe and tell her who you are. Or, email Gloria and see if she can give a link. Has to be somewhere on the interweb.

On the latest Classic Rock magazine Geezer is quoted talking about the Beatles and why they're one of the greatest 100 song writers of all time and at the end of his quote it mentions that geezer is currently working on his new solo album and writing his memoirs.

Daylight waits while the old man sings, heaven help me! And then like the rush of a thousand wings, it shines upon the one. And the day has just begun..."

Sounds Like Geezer is riding off inot the sunset after Ronnie's passing... so be it. I've been a big supporter of the reunion talk, but evne I have come to accept the fact that there's very little if any chance of a new Black Sabbath album ever again. We know Tony will be doing something in the future, at least something I'l lbe interested in any way. Geezer's a great bass player and was a great lyricist, but I've never heard any of his solo stuff that I thought was worth a 2nd listen.. good luck with your memoirs Geez!

Interviewer said "Geezer Butler is ...." not "Bob Daisley is". The audio clip was Geezer speaking and nobody could confuse his voice/dialect/cadence combo for anyone else. Also, refer to the link I posted. No mention of Dais.

'A couple of memoirs from Heaven and Hell/ Black Sabbath will be published in the next couple of years. Bassist Geezer Butler is hard at work, as is Ronnie James Dio's widow, Wendy Dio. She says she'll be finishing up the book Ronnie had three-quarters written before his death. Geezer's book has a working title of The B Side, and he hopes to have it out next year. Dio's is Rainbow in the Dark, with an estimated release in the fall of 2013.'
