Hi, have you heard this bootleg? (Worchester Centrum, November 4th, 1983). I think its even better than show on CD2 of Born Again deluxe edition.
Children of the Grave
Hot Line
War Pigs
Iron Man
Zero the Hero
Heaven and Hell
Guitar Solo
Digital Bitch
Black Sabbath
Smoke on the Water
Paranoid
it does'nt say much for the album when all they performed was 2 songs off of it.to me,the album was awful! the live shows were good though!

Yes indeed! "Born In Hell" was one of my first boots. My main reason for getting a computer and going onto the internet (10 years ago now?), was so I could get into Sabbath boots!!Originally Posted by Iceblink

Are you saying boo, or boo-urns?
Black Sabbath could really do a very unique thing here.they could put out a box set of live recordings with different singers from all the different eras. has they ever been done by any other band? they could also go through all the shows they have on tape and release them as a companion dvd, much like led zeppelin did a few years back! i probably get all the boots, but i'd buy them officially too!

Hot Line + Zero the Hero + Digital Bitch makes 3 songs.
Though 3 songs is not enough for such a great album. I enjoy Ian's version of Heaven and Hell to a certain extent and his version of Black Sabbath to a great extent. The other sabbath classics performed in this boot are all good, though not interesting when compared to the original singer's version (note that I still consider the original singers better on both H&H and BS). However the sound quality is great on this boot, that is the strongest edge it has imo.
My favorite boot from 1983 is the live show in Stockholm, the second show of the tour. It is audience recorded in mono, but I think that even though the quality isn't THAT good, it's not that much of a problem. The setlist for that show is just plain awesome imo:
1. Stonehenge
2. Children of the Grave
3. Hot Line
4. War Pigs
5. Born Again (HELL YEAH!)
6. Supernaut
7. Drum solo
8. Rock and Roll Doctor (better than Ozzy version imo)
9. Disturbing the Priest
10. Keep it Warm
11. Black Sabbath
12. The Dark/Zero the Hero
13. Guitar Solo
14. Digital Bitch
15. Iron Man
16. Smoke on the Water
17. Paranoid
I mean just look at that setlist!!! Keep it Warm was only performed 3 times if I remember correctly, and Born Again was performed way too few times as it is one of my all time favorite songs ^^. Also to be honest I mostly skip drum solos in Black Sabbath concerts, nothing bad about the drummers but imo they are not that interesting when it comes to solos. But there is one exception, I ALWAYS listen thorugh Bev Bevan's solo's, he is just plain awesome.

What about 1984 shows? Any recommendations? It would be cool to have good quality version of Neon Knigts sung by Ian Gillan.
is there a live version of I was burning and turning and the ground became my sky? TRASHED!

Pronounced "Wistah"!! I was born in Framingham. This is still one of my favorite boots of all time.
"Just the FACTS please Ma'am. Thank you."
'Born in Hell' (my preferred title) is definitely one of the best Sabbath boots soundwise, and it's the best of the Gillan boots without a doubt. I really don't like the Reading show, to be honest.
To safeguard my philosophy until my dying breath
I transfer from reality into a living dead
I empathize with enemies until we’re dying right
With God and Satan at my side, from darkness will come light
surely the best version of "Black Sabbath" , after Ozzy .
Ian is brilliant .
