Amazing that the most basic riff ever thought up could be turned into such a monster of a song.
Easily the best debut album by any band ever. Hell it might even be the best album by anyone period. The musicianship is off the charts, especially Bill Ward. How he recorded the early albums on a basic drumset is incredible. I get blown away everytime I watch the Paris vids.

During the seventies this band was the greatest band on earth. No band has ever been better before, during or after the seventies imo. Today they are nothing but a nostalgia band though. A nostalgia band I would love to see live, but I would prefer something more like glenn hughes "Black Country Communion". However, I am happy whatever happens, as long as SOMETHING happens.

7 Bucks and my right nut, Ozzy is "lip synching" the damn harmonica. What a shame. Before the hate mail starts flying, WATCH the beginning of the video. NO air coming into or out of his cheeks as well as NO movement of the harmonica. Just an observation, Ozzy is still Ozzy. We all love him.

No hate IRULES, but I've played that on the harmonica, your inhaling at the beginning, and then it's a long exhale, no air to be had in the cheeks. I'm positive it's Ozzy really playing, which pleasantly surprised me actually.

I totally agree. Around 1:04 he's late on his sync... But hey his vocals were pretty damn good...

I wouldn't trust Youtube with anything in regards to "sync", as they're fairly notorious for video footage being behind or in front of the music at times. Kinda annoying in general. XD

Well he definitely is breathing into it because his shoulders are moving quite a bit on the inhales and exhales. With the mic on, which it obviously is, you would hear something.

Black Sabbath could go on a world tour and make millions! no other members of the rock bands from the 60s have any of their original members left, escept maybe Deep Purple, and blackmore's ego will never
let him get back for a tour with the other guys.as much as i'd love to see it,i would hope they would tour behind a new album because them just playing the old stuff would'nt really hit the spot for me!

Yeah, your right about the Youtube/Sync issue. Maybe it's for real. But I'm still skeptical.

Rightly so, really. How often in the history of Ozzy's life has he really performed an instrument on stage, one would wonder, right? Especially a harmonica ... probably hadn't played that since eaaaaarly Sabbath.

It's a pretty basic simple Harmonica part Ozzy is playing, certainly not beyond his or anyone else's capability of playing, anyone who's doodled with a harmonica can play that Wizard bit. If he was lip sinking it, then he pre-recorded himself, because its certainly not off the album, it's not the same recording that's for sure... I'm sure he played it live but believe what you want.

I was lucky enough to see them 5 times, in 71' 75' 76' 78' and 01'. I can't remember if Ozzy played harmonica at the first show. He didn't in the shows from 1975 on. In 01' they inroduced a new song called Scary Dreams which reminded me of Hand of Doom. I would love to have that included on a new album.
