Travels with Herodotus by Ryszard Kapuściński
The dog's name is Pete. If he tries to mount you in the middle of the night, say "no" sternly. But don't look him in the eye.
I've been in a non-reading mood for a very very long time now. I read things when I feel they might inspire me in my writing of music and/or short stories. At the moment I am working on a school project, a collection of short stories, so I thought I'd read through the story of "Job" in the Bible. Some interesting stuff there, them atheist saying the Bible is made-up crap don't know what they talk about. It might be made up, but it sure ain't crap.
"There in the middle of the circle he stands, searching, seeking, with just one touch of his trembling hand, the answer will be found.
Daylight waits while the old man sings, heaven help me! And then like the rush of a thousand wings, it shines upon the one. And the day has just begun..." (1975)
-Ronnie James Dio, Rest in Peace
"In the summer days we flew to the sun, on melting wings, but the seasons changed to fast, leave us all behind... Blind..." (1969)
- Jon Lord, Rest in Peace

I just started reading Adolphus Huxley's Brave New World. I've got to say that what I have read of it has been pretty enjoyable so far. I generally tend to like more of the science fiction, utopian books, especially those that get quite creative and really send out a message to the reader. I just finished Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm as required readings for class, enjoyed the both of them as well. I need to read some other stuff though I've put on the shelf due to being busy at the moment though. 3 Hemingway novels that I have been meaning to read for the longest time and a couple of Stephen King novels since I enjoyed The Shining. Any fans of some of the stuff I mentioned? I would love to talk about them with anyone!
Bought Iommi's book yesterday and finished it earlier today. Good read but some parts were a bit brief.
Well I don’t want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky
No I don’t want no one to tell me where I’m gonna go when I die
I wanna live my life, I don’t want people telling me what to do
I just believe in myself, ’cause no one else is true

If you are a false don't entry, the nuclear drums will crush your brain
Because you'll be burned and died, slaughtering all with intensive pain
Get out here and destroy all; killing all falses, bastards—Sarcofago, Deathrash
Because is this what we want, this is our message
Do you guys recommend the "I Am Ozzy" book?

I'm currently reading The Time Machine for the first time. Not really a reader, but a friend recommended it to me.
As the AL exams are coming, I'm reading the History notes.
The world is a lonely place - you're on your own.
Guess I will go home - sit down and moan.
Crying and thinking is all that I do.
Memories I have remind me of you,
Of you, of you...
Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, broken up with a peak in David Day's Tolkien Bestiary every now and then
Cool start.....try Asimov, Bradbury, Chricton, etc. next and you'll never say I don't read anymore

The Top 500 Heavy Metal Songs Of All Time - Martin Popoff
Do what thou will shall be the whole of the law
No I have not read Top 500 Heavy Metal Albums Of All Time but I will get that one next. Thanks for the tip! At the time I also bought a copy of The Collectors Guide to Heavy Metal Vol. 3 The Nineties By Popoff but as they were second hand the CD that goes with it was missing. For a decade when metal was supposed to be "dead" it sure as a lot of killer albums in it.
