Great review man! Made me remember how much I love this album, I've been into some other stuff lately but I promise you, when I get my copy of the 2LP deluxe edition, I will play this album until the neighbors start hearing Ian's screams in their dreams ^^
"There in the middle of the circle he stands, searching, seeking, with just one touch of his trembling hand, the answer will be found.
Daylight waits while the old man sings, heaven help me! And then like the rush of a thousand wings, it shines upon the one. And the day has just begun..."
    (1975)
-Ronnie James Dio, Rest in Peace

"In the summer days we flew to the sun, on melting wings, but the seasons changed to fast, leave us all behind... Blind..." (1969)
    - Jon Lord, Rest in Peace

Cool fuckin' review dude! Looking forward to seeing how the Geezerless albums measure up, while I do think they're pretty damn good, I don't think they were able to bust a load on your mama!! Cheers!!!

BTW, it's Bev Bevan (Bevun), and yes they did play Keep it Warm on that tour, the only song they didn't play was Trashed. One of my fav albums of all time as well, thanks for giving it some love, and I def recommend you buy a copy of the DE immediately!

    Dear Dr.,

From this point forward when posting your reviews, could you maybe inject a little passion for the band into your commentary? You seem so laid back, almost academic in your approach. Rock on man. I look forward to your posts.

Pink Led Rush Dio, I was pretty sober that night...i think. haha. I remember Supernault and Rock n Roll doctor was also played that night. Forgot to mention that in the review. And Gillan thrashin the bongos. It was awesome!

    Thank you, Wadzilla!

Iommi rules, I'll try and step it up on the emotion department

Hehe, sounds like one heck of a show. I have a boot of the full Reading show and it had those two on it too. Supernaut segways into Bev's drum solo. I think Ian's version of RNRD is better than the original. Also on that boot is every song from Born Again except of course Trashed. I wish the whole show would have gotten on the DE, but the recording on the DE is loads better than the boot that I have that has every track. I actually had two diff ones of that show before they came out with the DE which seems to be an entirely diff recording than either.

Somehow this slipped under my radar but I was still waiting for the review. Let me tell you: review delivered. Not much to be said, you covered pretty much everything. Solid. Watching Seventh Star now and it's cracking me up. You rock.
Let me tell you now, about a friend of mine. He tried to shoot them lights, with whiskey and the wine. He didn't get so far, ah his gun was wrong. Now my sweet friend, where's your song? Shoot out the lights, shoot out the lights.

Thank you! Seems like I have a lot of times on my hand...and i guess i do. But sometimes it gets pretty boring at home late at night and I get that Sabbath itch.
