This site is starting to multiply! When I joined in Jan '11, I was like the 5,000th member and this site had been going like 15 years, now 8 months later there are over 12,000 members! Rock on Sabbath Lovers! Special thanks to Webmaster Joe.

I'm going to guess that at least 75% of new members since I joined are spammers ... this figure could be a lot higher. At the end of the day I think we have maybe 100-120 regular contributors.

There were less than 3000 members when I joined in Jan 2010, and I think the forum part of the site only went live in Nov 2004 so almost 7 years old. When I joined the Survivors Poll used to get much the same number of votes as we do now even though there are 4 times as many members!

But another notable group is the lurkers. Many people visit forums daily without ever registering. I for one lurked on this forum often before joining it. And I still regularly lurk on many boards. This is actually the only forum where I contribute on a regular basis.

There are 337 accounts listed as "banned" out of the total user base. That's not that many, really.

I would agree. I lurked for years before joining in 2007. I do not post so much these days. I took a promotion in July, and have been very busy with work, so not as much time to play here. Still pop in from time to time (like right now), but most times I just lurk.

Probably more lurker than anything, I remember lurking occasionally for years before I finally joined the conversation so to speak. Although I didn't make an account until or anything.
