The American Nightmare - The History of Horror's Golden Age:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLcbgz1oJJs (Part 1 of 5, guess you're able to find the remaining 4 parts yourself?)
A nice documentary of (what i would call the second) golden age of American horror and it's relation to late 60's/ early 70's society, featuring the masters George Romero, John Carpenter, Tom Savini, David Cronenberg & Wes Craven.

^I do enjoy a bit of HP Lovecraft, It's such a shame that the big budget production of At The Mountains of Madness that Peter Jackson was trying to put together seems to have fallen by the way.
My name is Lucifer please take my hand.
one of my new Favorites is The Women In Black - great horror movie if you like the old Hammer style of suspense instead of shock & gore - Really enjoyed this one
At least my hair is all mine, My teeth are my own, but everything else is on a permanent loan I'm on a low budget - Ray Davies
Anyone seen The Changeling with George C Scott? No gore in this one, just scares and suspense, really creeped me out when I was a kid!

Gotta dig The Changeling and GC Scott brings to my mind another great actor, Rod Steiger....The Illustrated Man (from the novel by Bradbury) is a MUST!!!!!!!!!

Recently saw The Womian In Black, and found it better than I thought it would be given the PG-13/12A rating.

Not 100% a horror movie, but pretty scary to boot

Lots of Rob Zombie clips, movies and documentaries

Actually yes the new version
Another one that I liked as a kid is the Legend of Boggy Creek - basically a docudrama about bigfoot that terrorizes the town of Fouke Arkansas - doesn't hold up quite as well today but back in the 70's it was very scary & is based on actual events - worth checking out if you can find it & the style of it is what's being used in the Paranormal activity movie series today
At least my hair is all mine, My teeth are my own, but everything else is on a permanent loan I'm on a low budget - Ray Davies
Another good 70's horror tv film was Race with the devil.
Also Trilogy of Terror. That one freaked me out with the voodoo doll story. Karen Black was in all 3 stories.

I love horro movies
Well it's that time of year again for me to try and watch a horror movie a night. Last year I didn't finish my goal, but this year I plan on doing it. I am getting my line up ready and hopefully I will do it. I need to add about 3 or 4 good new ones in there. I am kicking it off with the classic Psycho!
"Dumb Ass" Red Foreman That 70's Show
Evil Dead is on my list. It's in my top 10 of all time!

The remake comes out in April.. not sure how that will wind up. Ive got the original memorized at this point, so not sure if I can be objective about it. But I may give it a shot.
"From the book, the word is spoken. Whispers from forgotten psalms. Gather all around the young ones. They will make us strong. Reach above your dreams of pleasure
Given life to those who died. Look beyond your own horizons. Sail the ship of signs."
no doubt one of the most scary
the famous Norman Bates Mental Vortex
and THE Masterpiece

Yeah I read something about it last week. It has been in development for at least 7 years or so. Honestly theres been so many rumored remakes that have never happened in the last 7 or 8 years; I figured Evil Dead was over and done by now. Theres also still a Hellraiser reboot that has been in development for just as long. I'd prefer the originals just get re-released to the big screen then to get remade. Although I did like the Texas Chainsaw re-do's, most of the others I've bothered seeing for the most part have been worthless to me. The only positive I see in these remake endeavors is its the only place the new groundbreaking writers and directors can get opportunities & clout to later present original projects. But I still contend there hasn't been a lot of newer horror that has gotten my interest in a long long time. The crop of possession movies, the endless Underworld, & Resident Evil sequels just bum me out. In the last 3 years or so I mainly watch more classic 60's - 80's movies I've never seen before. I cant sit through yet another PG13 mysterious Orphan movie or another spin on a demonic Possession flick.![]()
