I gotta say, you really surprised me on this one haha. I'm glad you still like the last few songs on Forbidden. Forbidden's (the song) riff still blows my mind. That album is definitely a grower that's for sure. I had to listen to it like crazy to really appreciate it because I felt the same way about it at first. And Reunion is awesome! Great review as always Dr. Fukk! Cannot wait for next week!

Let me just say the ending was hilarious! I know I'm a minority as well, but I really love Forbidden. And BTW it's Loser Gets it All not Losers Get it All, but close enough. Only track I'm not too fond of is Illusion of Power, but it's not exactly terrible. That riff is pretty sick in that song. The Reunion album is a pretty awesome live album, nice to have a great show from them. I'm not crazy about the two studio tracks, from what I heard Selling my Soul had a drum machine on it, not Bill. But I really love the one song they did without Geezer on Iommi's album. Who's Fooling Who absolutely rips.

I don't really see a point to doing Past Lives, but I guess you could do a quick 5 min. one or so, it's kind of self-explanatory. Can't wait to see the Dio Years/ TDYK one! Just hope you don't rip on it as much as you did with Forbidden. LOL

Dr Fukk's passionate crucifixion of the tedious Ozzy haters is something to be commended.

Very good, man. I really like this album, but I can see your point. Forbidden and Kiss Of Death (which is, IMO, the best song of the record) are really, really outstanding points of the album.

Very, very good way to end it LOL

Waited so long riding back home from Wisconsin to view this. Review delivered, and ending was fucking hilarious. :D
Let me tell you now, about a friend of mine. He tried to shoot them lights, with whiskey and the wine. He didn't get so far, ah his gun was wrong. Now my sweet friend, where's your song? Shoot out the lights, shoot out the lights.

DR. FUKK! I meet the same old Ozzy reunion haters all the time down the pub and within my circles. "uhhhh they shouldn't reunite because uhhh they're past it derrrrrrp derrrrrp!" I find typically these are the people who claim sabbath as one of their favourite bands but know nothing of their material besides Paranoid, War Pigs and Iron Man and I don't think they'd be any the wiser if the chuckle brothers walked out on stage in Iommi and Geezers place.
I have full confidence in Sabbath

Hehe I bet there's alot of those people. Then we also have people like me ^^ I have considered every Black Sabbath reunion (except the most recent dio-era one) to be a bad thing that harmed the band. Then I mean the actual band's musical progress, not the name Black Sabbath from an marketing perspective. However, after the long period of "semi-reunions" with Ozzy from 1997 to 2006 or something like that, they kinda killed whatever progress they could have made imo. So at the moment, I am hoping to see as many of these people (Hughes, Iommi, Ward, Vinnie, Ozzy, Daisley, Geezer, Martin etc etc) live and hear as many of my favorite songs live as possible. Any reunion is welcome for me at the moment, though the one with Ozzy is still the least appreciated one, while still being MUCH better than nothing at all.

I can't argue with that, it just grinds my gears when these people have such strong negative opinions about something they kow nothing about.
Going onto what to you say about seeing all these artitst live, I can say im lucky enough to have seen Dio, Iommi, Butler, Appice, Hughes numerous times, which is great considering the crappy time that I was born, I missed out on so much :( one thing ive been hoping for for a while now is to see Tony Martin live! but I never seem to see him doing anything.

Great review, and the ending make me LOL.
Well I don’t want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky
No I don’t want no one to tell me where I’m gonna go when I die
I wanna live my life, I don’t want people telling me what to do
I just believe in myself, ’cause no one else is true

Yeah it's always irritating when people cannot be humble and accept that they know very little about something... I've only got to see Hughes once (with BCC) and Ozzy with his (crappy) band, though Ozz himself was on fire (as well as Adam Wakeman, but no one cares about the keyboardist ) I never got to see Dio though, something I will probably regret for the rest of my life, since he is my favorite singer of all time...

Anyway, I'm drifting away from the topic here. I liked the way you did your review (as always) but really disagree with you on the album as such. I love "I Won't Cry For You", I think "Sick and Tired" has one of Iommi's best solos ever and I think "Illusion of Your Mind" is, just like "Virtual Death" an extremely good doom rock song, easily comparable to "Electric Funeral" imo. Also, I think the title track is the least interesting song off the album, even though it's still good. We agree on Rusty Angels though :D

EDIT: oh and about the reunion... I think you can figure out what I think about that album... it destroyed what still could have been a great band and created a (very good) nostalgia act. Better than nothing, but that's it, I won't ever buy the CD that's for sure.
