Default Would tony martin suit the heaven and hell lineup.....

I have wondered since DIO passed away (RIP) how TONY MARTIN would have done in the HEAVEN and HELL lineup....there are a lot of SAB fans on this forum who know a lot more about the band and it's history than I do. Just dig to get your valuable input here. I have always said that for me Sabbaths best vocalists were DIO and MARTIN....I cannot separate who did better work for the band as I thoroughly enjoyed both of their performances on all the albums they did with the SABS.

It's not going to happen any time soon ... if at all. Assuming the current reunion releases a new album, does a world tour and then call it quits you're looking at 2014 (and that presumes they don't continue for further albums/tours). Then there are other projects which would probably come first like Tony's film scores, and the side project with Ian Gillan so we could be looking another year or two after that.

Only use the name Heaven and Hell as a marker for any future project as it's highly unlikely they would use that name out of respect for Ronnies legacy, if it was Martin era stuff (and assuming that the Tony's settled their differences) it would probably have some name relating to a Martin era album. It's been suggested on these boards that Headless Cross would be a suitable name. Personally I don't think any of the Martin era album titles lend themselves to a band name (I didn't much like the name Heaven And Hell come to that), so a track name like Black Moon or Heaven in Black etc. would be my choice.

As for whether Tony Martin would suit the project ... yeah why not, he's a really good singer who's done it before, doesn't want to work with Iommi though as far as I can gather. More a question of would Vinnie want to do non-Ozzy/Dio material?
My name is Lucifer please take my hand.

well, apart from the drummer, the answer is the cross purposes album.

I love the TM era albums, but I personally think his vocals can be a bit hit and miss lately.

You are right, they propably wouldn't use the name HEAVEN and HELL again...in respect for Ronnie. Ikeep seeing in this forum that the Tony's had differences with each other. Were they that serious that we would never see them play together again. Being nosy...what happened that caused them to split.

The name Heaven and Hell is finished for good. The name was tied to Ronnie being in the band. Now if they toured under a new name I don't see why it wouldn't work. As long as they are all up for it. But the possibility of that happening isn't very good at all.

Heaven & Hell was Black Sabbath The Dio Years...simple as that.

When we lost Ronnie we lost the band.

Would Tony & Tony work well together...hard to think why not, Tony's still a world class lyricist and we all know that Iommi can deliver the goods....will they ever work together? Probably not. At least not in a way that it would ever be linked with Black Sabbath.
