Now that would be seriously cool! I'd love to hear that album!
Tony Martin is considering re-releasing his first solo album for it's 20th anniversary next year, w/ leftover tracks, and some live video!
Here's what he said on Facebook:
That would be rockful. Its come upon 20 years since i released my first solo album back where i belong and i am concidering re working the album with all the left out tracks that didnt appear on it..... and since the anniversary is upon us... Would anyone be interested in seeing a 20 year old video ... the ONLY video of a TV performance of "If there's a Heaven" in very poor quality ... featuring Cozy Powell, Neil Murray, Mario Parga and of course ME ... on a German TV show...???? ........... No??? ....... ok then.

-Too many flames, with too much to burn, and life's only made of paper. Oh how I need to be free of this pain but it goes over and over and over again-
Would be nice to include the song he did with alvin lee

I hope he does. Would be cool to get a copy of this release.
"I can honestly say it’s truly been an honor to play at his side for all these years, his music will live on forever." ~ Tony Iommi (Speaking of Ronnie James Dio)
I hate to knock Tony he's a great guy and very personable and cool to his fans of FB but I don't like the album AT ALL. It sounds like late 80's boring top 40 AOR crap to me. Scream on the other hand is an incredible album and although there is no anniversary I think that album deserves a re-release much more than the boring BWIB.
"Just the FACTS please Ma'am. Thank you."
It is an amazing album--I really hope he does it, as well as release a new solo album. I could listen to his voice all day.

Also there is the demos which he did where he played all the instruments. They sound a tidbit harder than the album version. Quite a few photos exsist of the following tour also. There some good stuff there.
Pain and Poison Roses
I wish Tony would re-issue this. It was not the heavy stuff, but great song-writing nonetheless. His version of Jerusalem was killker. I also have a CDR of some interview Tony did with the BBC where his (speaking) voice sounds completely different. He brought demo versions of some of the album tracks with him to the Beeb that day, so you get to hear some work in progress. Of note that some of the stuff where the first sessions, Cozy Powell did after being injured in the horse-riding accident.
Also known as:
The Astral Friar.
Giving away salvation for free! It's called Metal!
Well, I hope he manages to get that done and that it does well for him.
But I don't care for the album much myself. Before that album, it never occurred to me to compare him to Lou Gramm from Foreigner. Not that that is such a bad thing, I mean Lou is a fine singer and all, but I just don't care to hear Tony Martin sing music in that style I guess. It's a little too syrupy for my taste.
I'd certainly be interested in buying a copy.
