Not much snow here in Minnesota this year, but lots and lots of ice, chilly wind, and extremely cold temperatures. I get to wake up at 6am every morning to cold as hell weather and a dark sky. I then spend my entire day jammed inside a building. By the time I leave, the sun is going down.... I feel your pain.

The winter here in Stockholm has been OK actually, not too cold and all. It still sucks compared to the other times of the year but what can you do ^^. It recently began snowing and now the streets are icy and everything though, I hope it doesn't get much worse.

Hardly any snow here, and it's been warmer than normal. By now we should be driving our cars across the lake.

You're lucky to be so far south. I'd guess those around Östersund (which is approximately as far north as Trondheim/Oppdal, where i am at the moment) is experiencing a bit more the same as us here. Plus Oppdal is way up in the mountains, (known for it's alpine-hills), and that makes it even worse. The last 24h the snowfall has been almost 60cm, which is fucking insane.

Hah yeah I guess... I still consider myself unlucky to be so far north compared to most people, but there's always someone worse off than oneself ^^.

Yeah, i would'nt mind beeing in Spain or Miami or on Jamaica or something right now... The summers are beautiful up here in the North, but the winters fucking sucks. Guess i'll have to become a rich rock-star so i can go on tour or vacation this time of year...

I've always lived in California, not in the mountains, so I've never lived where it snows (but I have vacationed in the California mountains often, although, not a lot of snow except at the ski park). As a kid, I felt gypped never living where it snows, but now that I'm an adult, I'm really glad I don't have to shovel it or drive in it.

It has been a relatively calm winter. It's been more sunny and rainy, and the snow only sticks around for a few days and melts. In PA, we only had two snowfalls up until a couple of days ago which started the third. It's only 6-8 inches now but that's nothing compared to other winters where we get a couple of feet. Two winters ago was really bad, like an abnormal amount of snow. Way more than we normally get. I was shoveling a neighbor's driveway and I only shoveled 1/4 of it and I was exhausted haha.

I actually love snow, but I don't have to put up with as much of it as you do. Heck, if we get a 3 or 4 inch snow people freak out around here. They can't drive worth a damn in it.

I hear you, Underdog. On 29th of December we had nothing, just darkness and grass, like some late autumn. Winter came crashing down within a week, it snowed almost every day. The frost has since reached the maximum of -16 Celsius here in Seinäjoki, some -18 Celsius in the more rural areas around my city. Now, after 2 weeks of winter, we've got a plain clouded sky, -9 Celsius and some 30-40 cm of snow. But no new snow for today, no ploughing & shoveling! I live in a row house, I got to plough my own front section and the visitor parking area each and every time because I live in the end of house apartment...plus the loooong car house front, but that's only in every 7th week but last week when I had my turn I had to plough the damn area twice, it's a real pain in the ass...

I do like snow, the whiteness of it all, but only when it's all ploughed and shoveled away, clean roads and corridors, the snow all neatly piled up within forests, ditches and other areas where I don't have to go myself...

Today I had to do some ploughing again, luckily only my front section and from around my car. It's a calm -7 Celsius, so this is a great evening to go to sauna (+100 Celsius) and some cool dip in the spring water (+1 Celsius)...my cold paradise is only 3 km away, no need for vacation trips...and it's less than 3 €/visit...

I love winter. In fact, it was damn cold today but I walked outside in a t-shirt anyways.

Then again, I'm a Canada lad, and us Canada lads, we're fucking tough.

What do you Buffalo Bill mean by damn cold? 'cos last week it was around -27 Celsius here in Kuopio, and there's no way I would walk outside only in a t-shirt. But maybe you Canada lads are tougher than me

I also like snow but only, like Sabbathman said, when it's all ploughed and shoveled away, and there isn't 30cm of snow everywhere I go.

Toronto eh? Whereabouts? I'm not too knowledgeable with Toronto actually, the few times I've been there I've been intimidated by the ruffians... and the shady, shady looking back-alleys, haha.

I don't remember the district, but surely downtown....where they've got a network of tunnels to get to the shops and schools on foot when it snows a lot
