Arcturus are supposedly a BM-band (with so-called "avant-garde" elements, which really just means they use keyboards and choir), just a very bad one. Atleast after Garm left. And i don't like ICS Vortex. Originally Posted by Totentanz

It was just an irrelevant remark, don't get so hung up about it... For the record I too dislike Vortex, when I nominated them it was on this basis:
1) for making the great albums Aspera.. and Sham Mirrors - I unashamedly love both these albums. I agree the stuff with Vortex is let down by his vox, and of the Garm stuff I also think La Masquerade Infernale is way over-rated.
2) I nominated them (as I do with most bands) to make up the numbers. A game like this needs bands that are gonna get voted off, I always try and pick a band I genuinely like and see how long it takes 'em to burn and die! Sometimes they even get a vote from elsewhere, which is great, but oft-times not.
So don't worry, I'm not hung about it - I hope you notice I didn't actually complain about you voting against them
