many places were half dead anyway, interest exploded when live concerts started to be publicly available instead of rare things that you often had to pay big bucks to get. Because the 10-16 year old tweeners don't care, and us older fans who do don't want all the legal trouble that comes from the trading preceived illegally obtain music. Here in America one person lost something like a million dollars in a trial over 20 something songs downloaded on her computer. She lost this because she fought the $5000 fine for the download.
