sabbath in TV programme

I was wondering if anyone knows about this, It must have been about '75 or so as I was at school. My mate came into school & announced he had seen sabbath in a tv programme where they are on stage at a school at a leaving do, they start to play & the headmaster goes around & unplugs them. It was before the days of video recorders so only had my mate(s) word for it. I did get to see them on "look hear" my most vivid memory is them big furry boots Dave was wearing.
Anyway! if anyone knows anything about it, it would solve a long standing mystery to me

Let me get this clear in my mind. This was a tv show where they did a skit. You have any idea what channel this aired on. Or even what country/area it was on.

I was thinking about this and I wonder if it was the "Rock of the Seventies" show. The theatre they play in is pretty small and could be mistaken for a school hall. There is footage of them standing around onstage not playing that could have been mistaken for having their sound cut off, especially to a kid who didn't have the experience of seeing a live show. Would be great if it turns out to be something else though.

Anybody ever see the show "Speakeasy" with Ozzy, Jon Lord and Ian Hunter? It aired in the US in May of 1974. Here's a cap of Ozzy (Ian Hunter on the right). Another show I'd like to see.

I've got one for you to find though. Not an appearance as such. I'm guessing only the British people will know of the long running soap opera called Coronation Street (tell me if I'm wrong). Well in 1976, in some scenes, they had Technical Ecstacy on. From what I remember, it must have only been heard in certain scenes. This would probably be a young character playing the record in his bedroom or something. I can't remember the circumstances. I only know I was taken aback everytime I heard it. This was/is probably the biggest programme in British TV history. I only knew of this when they rerun old episodes on some cable channel in the 90's. Wish I'd taped it. I mean, Black Sabbath, prime time TV, in the 70's!! Must have been weird. Soooooooooooo .... anyone?

Never heard any Technical Ecstacy but I did hear something off Never Say Die on Corrie once, think it might have been Hard Road, can't really remember, this was in the 80's. I was shocked as well.

'Not The Nine O'Clock News' used Paranoid in a sketch where the music in what appeared to be a disco was being played really loud. As the sketch evolved it transpired that the location was in fact a shop. Sketch featured Rowan Atkinson and a few girls dancing. I was about 10.

First time and only time I ever saw them on TV was Cal Jam I...Forgot what show it was, Don Kirshner's Rock Concert I think. Same with Purple, and of corse Ritchie's tirade with the camera man. What a diva he was, haha.

If you are a company that puts out DVD's you can lease the footage. You know all those shady Sabbath DVD's that you see on Amazon, a lot of them leased their footage from places like Reeling in the Years. The regular fan can't just buy it for their own personal collection though.

Looks like most of the episodes got wiped, but there are some episodes that are known to exist. There is a video of The Sweet on Youtube from 1974, so maybe someday it will surface.
