Default Best lyrics per album (one song each for first 8 lp's)

So what do you think are the finest lyrics on each album. One song each lp....though I know there are multiple tracks that have great lyrics,.... let's try to not have 'ties' on your list...maybe a second list for best "runner-up" lyrics per lp. Here's mine:

    FIRST CHOICE
Wicked World (though I know it wasn't on UK release)
    Hand of Doom
    Into The Void
    Under The Sun
    Killing Yourself To Live
    Megalomania
    You Won't Change Me
    Jhonny Blade

    RUNNER-UP
    Black Sabbath
    War Pigs
    Children of the Grave
    Cornucopia
    Looking For Today
    The Writ
    All Moving Parts
    Over To You

note: hard leaving off the list Electric Funeral/After Forever/ Lord of this World/ Hard Road

Nice lists, the only one you've named that I really don't like much lyrically is Johnny Blade. It sounds too small-scale and a bit forced to me (in terms of content, not delivery) - poor lyrics let down a good tune. Incidentally, Dirty Women is SUCH a good tune I forgive the terrible lyrics every time!

    My choices are:
    N.I.B.
    Hand Of Doom
    Children Of The Grave
    Under The Sun
    Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
    Symptom Of The Universe
    You Won't Change Me
    Never Say Die

I feel that's an 'obvious' list, so my alternative list features those lyrics I love for other less tangible reasons:

    Behind The Wall Of Sleep
    Electric Funeral
    Lord Of This World
    Cornucopia
    Who Are You?
    Thrill Of It All
    All Moving Parts Stand Still
    Air Dance
I don't need wings to reach the sky
And I don't need hands to hold you tight...

    Hmm... lets see...

    Behind the Wall of Sleep
    Planet Caravan
    Lord of this World
    Cornucopia
    A National Acrobat
    Megalomania
    Gypsy
    Over to You

    Runner-up
    N.I.B.
    Paranoid
    Children of the Grave
    Wheels of Confusion
    Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
    The Writ
    She's Gone
    Never Say Die

I feel sorry for "Who Are You?", those lyrics beat lots of these, but neither SBS nor A National Acrobat :D favorite lyric overall from GZR would probably be Planet Caravan, Behind the Wall of Sleep or A National Acrobat, depending on my mood (mostly Planet Caravan though).
"There in the middle of the circle he stands, searching, seeking, with just one touch of his trembling hand, the answer will be found.
Daylight waits while the old man sings, heaven help me! And then like the rush of a thousand wings, it shines upon the one. And the day has just begun..."
    (1975)
-Ronnie James Dio, Rest in Peace

"In the summer days we flew to the sun, on melting wings, but the seasons changed to fast, leave us all behind... Blind..." (1969)
    - Jon Lord, Rest in Peace

Sleeping Village-Soft breeze blowing in the trees, peace of mind, feel at ease.

Electric Funeral (I'm a funeral director/embalmer) Buring glow of obscene fire, like electric funeral pyre.

Children of the Grave-They'll fight the world until they've won and love comes flowing through, yeah!

Tomorrow's Dream-When sadness fills my days, it's time to turn away. And then tomorrow's dreams become reality to me.

Looking for Today-Cause your only looking for today. (that's me, I'm the grasshopper and not the ant)

The Writ-see my signature thing at the bottom

Rock 'n' Roll Doctor-I gotta see him, see him today, he's gonna blow me away.

A Hard Road-there are a few great lines in this song: Life becomes the singer and the song, sing along; Why make the hard road?
Why can't we be friends? No need to hurry, we'll meet in the end; Nightime falling victim to the dawn, shadows mourn (shadows mourn-fucking brilliantly abstract); Forget all your sorrow, don't live in the past and look to the future `cause life goes to fast, you know

Xtra-Psyco Man-The lust of Death's possession will overtake his psycho mind

Selling My Soul-My mind feels heavy, my body feels weak (aint that the truth!!)

Well I don’t want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky
No I don’t want no one to tell me where I’m gonna go when I die
I wanna live my life, I don’t want people telling me what to do
I just believe in myself, ’cause no one else is true

I had a thread like this once, but I made it more specifically about a single best line from each album. As such, I think that made it a bit too much work or something. Anyways it got a few replies:

    http://www.black-sabbath.com/vb/show...-Sabbath-Album

    Each album then:

    N.I.B.
    Paranoid
    Sweet Leaf
    Supernaut
    Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
    Hole in the Sky
    hmmmm
    Never Say Die
