    Default The Gibson-battle

A continuation of the Gibson vs. Fender-poll.

I'm omitting the Explorer, Flying V, Firebird and RD, and focusing only on the two "main" models.

Though i love the SG, i must go for the Les Paul, as that's simply just the closest thing to perfection IMO.

I also love the EB bass (the bass-verson of SG).
I've never liked the Firebird, but the Thunderbird is one of the most bad-ass basses around. Just too sad i've got so short hands i'm better of with the short-scale EB. I can play a Thunderbird, but not as technical as with a short-scale. (EB, Fender Jaguar Bass and Rickenbacker.)
Never seen or heard about a Thunderbird short-scale...
    AAAAhahhahahhahhahaahhahhahahahha!!!!!!! (pointing)

I love both, but the SG has a slight edge right now.

No I don’t want no one to tell me where I’m gonna go when I die

Just Googled it; there is a short-scale Thunderbird. I'm saved!!!
Edit: But it's only a 400 limited production (as part of Gibson's "Guitar of the week"-campain), so they're going to be expensive as hell...

both are cool but the SG wins with me as far as style points go as well as the higher cutaway. Its just a more playable guitar. Wouldn't mind picking up a Les Paul someday though.

As far as Basses go, I've got a thunderbird and its bad ass but not the most playable thing in the world. Looks awesome and sounds great but it is a beast to handle.
