I doubt that Ozzy truly invented "headbanging", although it would be pretty cool if he had. "headbanging" is nothing more than a individual reacting to music. Ozzy simply added his own style to it.

There is footage of Cream where the audience is headbanging, but who knows who the first guy (or gal) was?

Actually, if you look at most Sabbath live tape, it's Geezer who is the main head banger, he doesn't do it any more, but in the early days right up thru most of the Ozzy era, he was a huge head banger.
