"Let's Rock..." Part XX H&H Game

[8bit Fighter]

So, with that said, let's get the thread started with the rules of the game:

- We start off with twenty bands, each having twenty points. All forms of ROCK/METAL go head to head (be it Grunge, Thrash/Speed Metal, what have you.)

- The point of the game is to drain points from specific bands, while healing your own. For each one point that you heal a band, you remove two points from another. Example: +1 Metallica, -2 Children Of Bodom. The last one standing is the winner.

- You may not make more than one consecutive post; IE: you must first wait for another person to post before you make yours. Also, one post per day, per poster.

- You can vote for a band you haven't heard, or have heard very little of, on the premise of protecting a band you enjoy.

- Black Sabbath(Or Heaven And Hell) is OMITTED due to the fact that we're on a Black Sabbath site, and we don't want votes to get one sided. Also those already entered in the Hall Of Fame are now OMITTED as well because they already won their respective games.

- If a player decides to cheat by voting on another account with the same Email and IP Address, the player will be BANNED from the game and the board.

One person can nominate one band. Once we get twenty bands, the game will begin. You all know the drill.

Yeah, usually a couple other people will come in though. I'll either wait a few days, or til somebody else does it, to nominate more bands, but this game'll never start if we wait for nine different people to nominate.

I thought of a better nomination though, so that's kind of why I brought it up (though I doubt they'll ever win.)

I would prefer it if we got additional players rather than double nominate, it's bad enough defending one nominee. There are potentially 2 or 3 regulars who haven't posted yet, but if they haven't posted yet then I presume they're not intending to.

Sadly that's a little bit of confusion caused by 8Bit, he has deleted the post where he nominated Alice Cooper on behalf of someone else, I wasn't quite sure why he niominated it on behalf of the other person (Ochlocracy who is pretty active and could have done it himself!) or why he subsequently deleted his post. Beleive me Alice Cooper is one of my first targets when it comes to starting this game proper ... I quite like him but I don't much care for his music.

UPDATE: I deleted it because I don't like having duplicated posts, to me it sort of disrupts the flow of it. Same goes for the very first post when I put down my nomination and then delete it when we move on with more. That's my reasoning.

UPDATE #2: Give it a day. If we don't get any more nominations, I'll allow second choices.

No problemo, I wasn't complaining, I was just puzzled by it. And as I was getting shot at for appearing to nominate twice, i wanted to clarify what had happened.

Not sure I agree with your reasonng in Update 1, at least in this particular instance, it wasn't a duplicate post as such as it contained unique information, and deleting it destroys the "chain" of evidence.
