Default Any info on songs list for Ozzy and Friends concerts?

I'm wondering if anyone knows something about what songs are gonna be performed at the Ozzy and Friends concerts? I'm taking my wife with me and I wanna know what records I should play the most for her in order to make her recognize the songs at the gig. Since it's a "Tribute to Tony Iommi" show I suppose it's gonna be a large portion of Sabbath stuff - but will Ozzy do solo songs as well? At this point I play the "Reunion" and "Randy Rhoads Tribute" albums for her hoping they will cover up the larger part of songs at the gig. And if not, they're still pretty good albums, to say the least.

Where has it been said that 'it's a Tribute to Tony Iommi' show? That's the first I've heard theOzzy and Friends gigs called that.

I read it at the ticket office's site: http://www.ticnet.se/event/Ozzy-Osbo...etter/SSD0525C Try google translate to get a grip of the text if your Swedish isn't totally fluid :-)

Somebody's been taking some creative liberties I see...Tribute To Tony Iommi...hmm...makes it sound like he's already dead....not cool.

Anyways. Ozzy will play mostly his solo stuff and then Zakk and Geezer will join him doing a few Sabbath numbers (most likely War Pigs, Iron Man, NIB and Children Of The Grave) then everyone will come out and do Paranoid in the end.

I'm quoting Zakk Wylde here with my speculative setlist...

Gus G., Blasko and Tommy are coming out and doing a bunch of tunes...

    Let Me Hear You Scream
    Bark At The Moon
    I Don't Know
    Suicide Solution
    Mr. Crowley
    Killer Of Giants
    Shot In The Dark
    Crazy Train

...then I come out with Blasko and Tommy and we end up doing a bunch of stuff from the era when I was with The Boss, from "No Rest For The Wicked" all the way through everything I've ever done with him...

    Miracle Man
    Crazy Babies
I Don't Want To Change The World
    Road To Nowhere
    Breaking All The Rules
    Mama, I'm Coming Home

Then Geezer comes out and we do a bunch of SABBATH stuff...

    War Pigs
    The Wizard
    Fairies Wear Boots
    Sweet Leaf
    Black Sabbath
    Iron Man
    Children Of The Grave

...and at the end Slash and everybody — Geezer, Slash, Gus — and we all play...

    Paranoid
    "HALLOWEEN RIFFS, WALL-TO-WALL GUITARS"

Strange that they have not moved the concerts to smaller venues
Both gigs in Sweden is at soccer stadiums
seems like there are many who have returned their tickets.

Well personally I'm hoping for at least ONE "obscure" Sabbath tune that is one of my favorites. I have a feeling that "Under the Sun" might just be within reach for example. Children of the Grave is one of my favorites as well, really hope they don't skip that one... Nothing against Sweet Leaf and Fairies but honestly I'd rather see those replaced by something from SBS/Sabotage or even Never Say Die! (title track). Wicked World or Hand of Doom would be awesome as well...

As for the Ozzy songs I don't care too much. The standard hit songs are kind of okay, worth the listen at least. Maybe a return of "I Don't Know" or "Revelation..." would be nice but yeah, doesn't matter too much... It's gonna be an awesome show anyway I hope!

Daylight waits while the old man sings, heaven help me! And then like the rush of a thousand wings, it shines upon the one. And the day has just begun..."

"In the summer days we flew to the sun, on melting wings, but the seasons changed to fast, leave us all behind... Blind..." (1969)

Didn't Zakk told that they want to perform lots of old Black Sabbath songs?
I don't know whether he wants to say that he would like to play them. But I think, he said, that he loves to play Into the Void and so. So I hope and think that we can also enjoy a lot of BS Songs and not only Paranoid or so.

I totally hope that they play some songs like Supernaut, Sometimes I'm happy or Killing yourself to live.
    That would be great^^

That's not going to happen. Ozzy can't sing them anymore, it is simple as that.

Do not get your hopes up on many obscure songs...I would be truly surprised if there would even be one song that wasn't part of the 2004 Ozzfest set list.
