    Default Internet Debates

I jump into and often start internet debates on forums such as this here Black Sabbath site and [sarcasm] have never used, but often noticed,[/sarcasm] many of the tactics described in this awesome thread that I found by googling "internet debates". Truly, many of the posts hit the nail on the head.

"It's actually quite astonishing how you managed to string together so many words whose definitions you obviously do not know while simultaneously sidestepping every point made and question asked in my last post. You have attacked the arguer rather than the argument. This is a poor debate tactic, and the last refuge of the debater whose position is untenable. You've now proven that you cannot defend the hate speech of your previous post, and it is obvious to everyone reading this thread that I have won this argument."

Oh I can think of one member of this forum who could have said this - but in many many many more paragraphs!

Monster Boy, you are so funny, you and Lille Gut from Trondheim! Thanks guys for making my day!

Woops. No, I'm not a member of that forum, I can see how my initial post was confusing though. The link is just to a neat thread I found by googling "internet debates".
