This is for a great cause, but talk about money grabs! Not grabbing money for themselves, but for a charity, and doing so by expending the least amount of effort possible, giving us tracks that weren't even good enough to appear on an Iommi solo album. Yech! In another sense, the tracks are there and you might as well use them for a good cause so that's the positive spin. I will do my best to avoid the urge to buy, I may have to be silvered in my coffin in order to resist though, maybe I'll just give my money directly to the charity so I won't feel bad.

I buy it without wanting to remake the world with metaphysical reflections , less for charity than for music .
I'm sure it will be excellent and this is most important to me . I can't wait

This is great news. Having a full album. The 2 Who Cares tracks, more Iommi/Hughes tracks, some Ian Gillan, some hard to get b-sides. I'll buy it, and it's for a good cause.

Yeah, this is cool and I'll definitely buy it, but I was expecting all new tracks like everyone else was.

Now that we have a track listing, it's clear that the two Iommi/Hughes songs have been previously released after all. I'll still buy it, for the charity if not for anything else, but it's somewhat of a letdown.

Here's the final track listing and release date of the album:

The album is set for release on July 13 via earMUSIC..

    CD1

    01. WHOCARES "Out Of My Mind" (fi rst time on an album)
Featuring Jon Lord, Linde Lindström (HIM), Jason Newsted (METALLICA), Nicko McBrain (IRON MAIDEN)
    02. BLACK SABBATH "Zero The Hero"
    03. Ian Gillan feat. Iommi, Ian Paice and Roger Glover "Trashed"
    04. M. Rakintzis feat. Ian Gillan "Get Away" (fi rst release on a Gillan album, only released in Greece before)
    05. Tony Iommi feat. Glenn Hughes "Slip Away" (fi rst time on CD)
    06. Gillan "Don’t Hold Me Back"
    07. Ian Gillan "She Thinks It’s A Crime" (vinyl single B-side, fi rst time on CD)
    08. Repo Depo feat. Ian Gillan "Easy Come, Easy Go" (previously unreleased)
    09. DEEP PURPLE feat. Ronnie James Dio "Smoke On The Water" (live with the Royal Philaarmonic Orchestra)

    CD2

    01. WHOCARES "Holy Water" (fi rst time on an album)
Featuring Jon Lord, Linde Lindström (HIM), Jason Newsted (METALLICA), Nicko McBrain (IRON MAIDEN)
    02. BLACK SABBATH "Anno Mundi"
    03. Tony Iommi feat. Glenn Hughes "Let it Down Easy" (fi rst time on CD)
    04. Ian Gillan "Hole in My Vest" (7" vinyl single B-side, fi rst time on CD)
    05. Gillan & Glover feat. Dr. John "Can’t Believe You Wanna Leave me"
    06. Ian Gillan & The Javelins "Can I Get A Witness"
    07. Garth Rockett & The Moonshiners aka IG "No Laughing in Heaven" (rare track)
    08. Ian Gillan "When A Blind Man Cries" (Live at Absolute Radio, previously unreleased)
    09. DEEP PURPLE "Dick Pimple"

There is a mistake there though, since Holy Water did not feature the same line up as on Out Of My Mind...

I'll be getting this one for sure, eventhough I am bit dissapointed that there wasn't more new material here...they could have added one or two new songs as well...

If I remember correctly Joe informed that Anno Mundi will NOT be a new remaster...right?

I'll get it as there are a few things on there I don't have, so nice to collect a few of the more obscure songs from their back catalogues. That said, I suspect the songs didn't make albums at the time as they weren't as good as those that did, so I don't have high expectations that it will be a fantastic listen, more an interesting one.

Double disk, only 9 songs each? That strikes me as weird...

^It's about 93-ish mins in total .. ain't going on 1 disc is it!

And if don't go on one disk might as well split it evenly over 2.

I'd think, either A) cut it down to < 80 minutes by taking off the songs that are already released elsewhere, or keep it 2 disks by filling both disks out with other tasty stuff.

It's a benefit, and 2 disks is going to make more $ than one I suppose, fair nuff (provided people actually BUY it as opposed to illicit downloading - Speaking of which, people who post this online for free download are looking for mega-bad karma, huh?).

    All the best,

Just got it and gave it a listen. First impressions, it is OK. I ususally have to listen to a album a few times before I pass judgement on it. One song I really thought sounded cool on it was Trashed. Never was a huge fan of that song, but the way it is sung on this CD gives it an entire different feel. No Laughing in Heaven was pretty cool too. Can't really understand why the Glenn Hughes and Tony Martin songs are on an album by Ian Gillan and Tony Iommi, but they are good ones, so I wont complain too much about that. Kinda funny, while I was listening to it in the truck the first time, before I had ever read the playlist, and I am thinking, damn, Ian sounds just like freaking Glenn Hughes on that song! Wasn't until I got home and read the credits I realized it was him.
