the best gear for a lower budget?

Hi everyone,
I am an amateur guitar player, and i was wondering what kind ofamplifier i should use for that great sabbath sound. I play on a beautiful epiphone g-400 sg, with a little bogey 15w practiceamp. I was thinking of upgrading to a bigger amp now. Any suggestions? Do bear in mind that I recently bought a ticket to see the boys play this summer.

Not familiar with your amp, but bigger is not necessarily better in amp terms (particularly if you play at home and cant use the full output volume). Before going down the amp upgrade I would recommend tuning down your guitar as this I have found pushes you to a Sabbath like sound more than most equipment purchases. I would also look at getting a graphic equaliser pedal as these can transform your tone most inexpensively.

i have down tuned my guitar, gets you a little way there. but if you want the most sabbath sound of the least cash, get a BSM RM metal. its the jmi range master with the mods that tony did to it. gives the best sabbath sound ever. i would also HIGHLY recommend getting some "bare knuckle pickups nantucket p90s" in there. they are almost identical to the tony sound. as for amps. a marshall will get you 70% there. but the only amp that will get you there is an 1969 laney supergroup.(don't get one, unless you wanna spend the cash. i got mine for 1,300) if you the the Bk nantucket p90s you will be mostly there. so here is the wrap-up.

Bare Knuckle-Nantucket p90s. will need woodwork to put p90s in, 1000 times worth it.
BSM RM metal, amazing. a 100% must for the tony sound.
Marshall 30fx amp. amazing, really gets tony iommi tone, not 100% needed though.

if you wanna spend 3,000 on supergroup and matching cab...go for it.

but really, go for the p90s!! could cost like 200 for woodwork but its awesome!!
