Finally had a chance to listen to the whole thing. I think Tommy plays fine, he gets the whole plodding Sabbath thing much better than most of the other substitute drummers they've had. He doesn't quite have Bill's swing down but this might come in time. Good luck to them, time for Bill to stop his passive/aggressive grandstanding too, he thinks he's been hard done by with an "unsignable contract", Tony Iommi's been fight a life threatening disease, Bill Ward should get a sense of fking perspective and how childish his behaviour seems to the public.

A drummer can use triggers, which make the drums sound the same if you hit it hard or soft. A crutch... Most metal-drummers use them these days, so i suspect Tommy Cluo-whatever use them too. But it didn't exactly enhance his drumming anyway...
You mean to tell me Bill Ward wouldnt have used the same thing to enhance his playing ?

Did i say anything like that? We were just talking about different ways musicians can cheat.
Didn't see any triggers on his kit on the Last Supper-film, and i haven't studied any other film-material from that reunion-period close enough, so i really don't know. But i'd belive he's old-school enough to don't wanna use them. Maybe it's that kind of stubbornness that've put them in this situation in the first place..? I don't know, i'm just theorizing.
But i certainly didn't say "Bill would never etc...". He's an old man and doesn't have the punch of a 20yr old anylonger.

The audio is the same audience source that I've been listening to.

This is fan produced. Outstanding work, and a lot of it. I wanna go to Chicago.

Well, it's damn good. It could almost pass for official.

    Amazing job !!

    Clufetos isn't bad , but Ozzy ...
I have mixed feelings watching Tony. A momument of Metal which now seems fragile but a true killer performance

Yeah, I think I already said it, but this show exceeded my hopes. And the moment when the audience cheered Tony and yelled "Tony, Tony, Tony...", I got a feeling, just awesome. The vibe of this concert was incredible.

is the video still up? I tried to watch but it said it was private and I'm @ work and don't have my youtube password. I'm sure it something to do w/ Sabbath.

You fucking hypocrites. A lot of people have never seen Sabbath live. I have, but I never got to see The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC with Bon Scott, Pink Floyd in any incarnation let alone with Syd. Take what you can get.
agree, insert Bill and they'd be saying how great he played.

Tommy Clufetos has balls the size of pickup trucks to take this gig on such short notice, knowing that 80% of the fans are going to hate him on a molecular level for having the nerve to help them pull these gigs off. I'm glad to see a few people point out that Bill Ward isn't as dynamic and busy as he was in the 70's either, because it's true. His style during the reunions was much more controlled. I would also question Bill's ability (or desire) to play a 110 minute set. Hell, maybe he just doesn't want to do this anymore, and all this Spinal Tap drama is just BS.

I'm also glad to see a few people mention Tommy with Ted Nugent. When I saw that band, Tommy was in the driver's seat. Plenty of swing, too. I think Clufetos is playing it like the guys want him to play it. "Take it easy, and don't take chances. Keep us together. Tempo first." That's what it sounds like to me.

Ozzy Autotune? Errr... I guess anything's possible, but I was thinking that his vocal sound is one of the more organic I've heard from Ozzy in years. He's not even using the cheesy echo. He sounds ridiculously good. It's even a little spooky. I wish he was only doing the Sabbath shows.

Guys... I'm listening to this show for about the 6th time. It makes me want to go to Chicago. Inspired, and inspiring. Be happy.

Agree, TOMMY DID GRET JOB, PERSONALLY Ward's grandstanding is old and tired, too bad for him, he missed out on the last chance for a lifelong memory, that in itself is priceless!

As for auto tune, give me break, wtf r some of you listening to..?

These YouTube links appear to be dead, but there is what looks to be a master sourced torrent on JamToThis.com. 2DVD set, and it's not a YouTube rip. It's an out-fucking-standing piece of work.

If someone were inclined to fold this together with the official footage, you'd have an ultimate document of this unreal performance. I just can't get enough of it. Applause.
