Default Clawfinger - The original rap-metal band

This Swedish/Norwegian band predates both RATM and the Anthrax/Public Enemy-collaboration, though their first official release came a bit later. (O.K. Faith No More did this stuff even earlier)

Too bad the legacy of these bands were ruined by the Nu Metal-shit

Not a big fan of rap myself, but when it's good, it's good. (which is mostly the stuff i've already mentioned here, and a Norwegian hip-hop-group called Gata's Parlament (Parlament of the street), because they've got some pretty good far-left political lyrics).

I was 10-12 when the first two albums came out, so this is really childhood memories. I haven't even heard the later albums. Exept the song Biggest & The Best, which was kinda a hit.

Love the cover for Use Your Brain

I actually rapped RATM's Bullet In The Head with a one-show band at a little festival at a place where some of my friends come from, after being awake for 36 hours drinking moonshine. Went pretty well, though...

Self-important? Just because i said some rappers choose to talk about what they feel is important in this world? I don't think your logic make no sense to anyone else than yourself...

This thread was made to show a few songs of a band i used to like when i was a kid, and to show that not ALL rap-metal sucks. I appreciate you saying that you enjoyed the first song more than RATM and FNM, and that you thought the chorus was funny, but the rest of the thread wasn't really necessary. Seems like everytime you post you just have to add something negative...

And yet again you've tricked me into derailing from the topic.

    End of discussion.

You never really answer my questions, do you? I guess it's hard for you to find a good answer to all your top-of-the-head-without-thinking ranting...

Interesting videos but not really a big fan of Rap/Rock either - Billy did you ever hear the Sir Mix a lot/ Metal Church version of Iron Man - this was from 1988 - on a side note - back when my sister & her husband owned the record store in Killen, Tx Metal Church did an instore to sign their new record (Blessing in Disguise) they thought it was very cool that a lot fo the soldiers from Ft Hood who came into the store for their autographs that day also had the Sir Mix a Lot single for them to sign

^^^ not the worst thing i've heard. Actually kinda cool bass here and there. Though they ruined the main-riff with the bass-drum-thing instead of the real bass-drum/snare-beat.
But atleast it was better than the Busta Rhymes feat. Ozzy-shit.
