Oh, Billy, don't apologise after digging your knife in. King Buzzo will fry you with his guitar amp, someday.

    I hope he will

Thing is, i just like Pantera more. It's been hard having to hurt any of the last 5 survivors.

But i'm stoked Melvins made it to 2nd place. Would never've thought that.

Quite honestly, RLP, I wanted Napalm Death and Pantera to go head to head, and with that, wouldn't have it any other way then Napalm Death join it's brethren Megadeth in the hall after 20 or so rounds. Congrats to Pantera, the Cowboys From Hell.
Let me tell you now, about a friend of mine. He tried to shoot them lights, with whiskey and the wine. He didn't get so far, ah his gun was wrong. Now my sweet friend, where's your song? Shoot out the lights, shoot out the lights.

Ah, 8bit, that's so cool to hear. This is the first time, in a long time, I participated in a round, and I actually joined it very late.

Yea, Napalm Death till the very end, would have been really nice. ND and Melvins are the only two bands I kept healing, anyway. But Billy is right, I hadn't even expected Melvins to be the last 1/2 standing. And you'd notice how Pantera won very narrowly, eventually. (just the 5 points in it).

Btw, Billy, have you heard Melvins' last one, 'The Bride Screamed Murder' album? It's an ace release. And I just ordered their very latest disc, 'Freak Puke'. I should be getting it by Friday.

No, not yet atleast. Actually, the newest album of theirs i've listen enough to too feel i know it is (A) Senile Animal.
But ofcourse i'm going to check out their newer albums with time. Lately i've been listening mostly to Gluey Porch and Ozma.

^ Oh ok....those first two albums are very different, but very good releases, no question.

You might have already heard them, but in case you haven't, I gotta recommend to you the 'Houdini', 'Stoner Witch', and 'Nude with Boots' albums, at the very least. I like a number of other Melvins records, but these are most special to me. At any rate, the Melvins catalogue is colossal and very varied.

And oh, (A) Senile Animal is under-rated, but arguably, a must-have (at least in my eyes).

I know i've heard much of their 90's stuff, but don't really remember which albums. It's a pretty extensive discography to check out, considering i only discovered them a few years ago, and there's been alot of other music to check out too.
    The King Buzzo/Dale Grover/Joe Preston-ep's i know a little better.

Yeah, i think it's cool they're so varied. But ofcourse, with a band that experiments the way they do, having a 25-year long recording-career, they're bound to've done lot's of different things.

Another medium i (and those in my group of friends who also like 'em) have been checking them out in are liveshows. There used to be a whole show from the Norwegian Wood '07-festival on the site for Norways biggest tv-channel (for free. Norway, the last soviet-state ), which was very cool.
Very cool that they brought in a second drummer at that time, really made the band powerful and groovy in a live-setting.

Oh, Billy...I can confirm just how always awesome Melvins are LIVE. I've seen them onstage several times, by now. And they've got to be seen and heard up, close & personal, to appreciate just how phenomenal Buzzo and pals are as live performers. One of their shows in Australia, a long time ago, is the stuff of legends. And you're spot-on about the injection of added dynamism with the inclusion of a second drummer in the band. Wall-to-wall sonic sludge, stoner & doom.!
