This is on NME. Pretty interesting stuff. Tony looks good, a little frail and tired, but thats expected.

Funny how Rick Rubin put the first album on and said "listen to this, it's 1969 and you just released this. Now do the follow up"

Tony's hair is much shorter than before.

I'm wondering if it's a wig. Doesn't matter either ways. I've had relatives undergo cancer treatments including my sister. She lost her hair. Grows back just fine

I hope the "next year - 2013" reference doesn't mean that the album will be released in 2013 instead of this fall (2012), but I bet that's exactly what Ozzy is alluding to. Sheesh...will we ever get new material from Sabbath?!?

I got that too. I bet the actual recording will start in the fall and it will be released early 2013

That's exactly what he did with Metallica too. If you don't have the hunger and the creative urge, it cannot be replicated. Frankly, Rubin's work - as far as rock & metal go anyway, I know nothing about hip hop - has been pretty shoddy overall for the last 15 - 18 years or more. Although, what he did with Johnny Cash (not rock or metal, but you know what I mean) was great, which is undeniable.

If he could motivate and inspire Sabbath in that way, I wouldn't complain, but I can't see it happening.

Cool interview. Tony looks really sick, just awful, but he seems healthy as always with the way he talks and expresses himself. I think he's doing pretty good.

I hope Rick Rubin doesn't have too much creative control. He should let the band write and play how they want. That's how to get the best result from a band like Sabbath IMO.

I had a feeling we wouldn't get the album until 2013, but I don't think that's what Ozzy meant. He probably means that the album title will have year in it, like 'Year of the Something' or something along those lines. Maybe they'll just call it '2013'. Personally I think that's a stupid title, but as long as the music's good, I'll be happy. And I think it will. This interview gave me a lot of hope for the album and the band's future. You can feel how genuinely happy and excited they are, even Geezer, who almost always seem very reserved and almost bored in interviews.

I hope Ozzy really means that the album will be called "2013" or something like that, but I'm afraid he's making a reference to the fact that the album won't be released until next year sometime.

Is Rubin implying they remake Paranoid? That won't happen without Bill on board.

If Sabbath working with Rick Rubin is anything like Trouble doing their self-titled album and Manic Frustration with him, I'm not worried.

I hope it doesnt come out in 2013. That would suck. I was hoping for this year. Not unless they are waiting to see whats going to happen with Bill. Tony doesnt look too bad in the video. He almost looks the same. He is alittle thinner and his hair is as well but thats to be expected. He is probably wearing a wig but how many rock stars his age still have their own hair?

Ozzy looks amazingly good ... I wonder if he had more plastic surgery.

As for Tony, he definitely looks like he's wearing a wig ... But his hair is definitely far from the most pressing worry about himself. He looks good, albeit tired and fighting ... he'll pull through.

Bill Ward WILL be back with Sabbath ... I have a good feeling about it. It's just a matter of time.

I think it's possible that the album may be released in 2013. They have one more show in the Download Festival and Ozzy and Friends have few other gigs.
Recording may not take more than a month.(Maybe, I know nothing about the details of this process) But then mixing the songs may take them months. And the promotion and album production stuff, etc...

So, all these may really take Sabbath for about half a year to to finish the album.

Yeah when I watched the video, I immediately took the hint at 2013 not only as the album name but the year as well. I hope not, too long of a wait.

And since the end of the world is December 21st 2012, we might never get to see the new album...

This 1000%. Two of my all time favorite records with amazing production. Throw in the first 4 Danzig's as well and I think the record will be amazing with Rubin. Rubin has always wanted to do a Sabbath record there is no way he half assess it in.

dont think Tony's wearing a wig, alot of cancer patients dont lose their hair, it looks like his own, doesn't matter anyway. I thought Metallica's last one sounded like their old selves. He wants another "Paranoid like" record, no argument from me, brillient!

Yeah, all the BS about them getting along, and only this version of Sabbath sounding right rings hollow without Bill.

No, the "End of the World" is just another way to say the release of the final and last Sabbath album.

I bet it will be some kind of play on the idea of being after the "end of the world"

"After Forever" would be a good choice if it wasn't already a song.
How was I to know it was "kiss the world with winter flowers"?

Of course they didn't, don't be silly. The Mayan's were a people of great power. They had a vision of the coming of the greatest rock band on earth, and were wise enough to know that the end of that band would be the end of an era, probably the end of all eras.

True man, true! Just shows what an impact Sabbath's had, in both past and "future"..

Mmmmh whats so special about the Mayan Calendar ?
So far all of my calendars ended in december

And about the new album sounding like the old paranoid album:
Although paranoid contains some of the greatest stuff they ever recorded, the PRODUCTION allways sounded a bit flat and guttless to me.

I think you got it wrong, it ended in December 2012. My educated guess is that this is special since we are currently at year 2012. I must admit that you are correct in your second statement though, most calendars end in december, since it is the last month of the year.
