She was engaged to Iommi for a very short period of time. He also produced an album called "The Bride Wore Black" for her that was never released.
I was suprized to hear Lita Ford due a interview on my local radio station. They played Close My Eyes Forever and she was asked how she got together with Ozzy. But here is a few Sabbath related comments she made.
She told how she was managed by Sharon She said that it was planned at one point for the duo to record a full album together. But Ozzy and Sharon were going throu the ringer over the drug use and the attempted murder deal. And it took Sharon's focus off, so she hated to but she had to find new management.
Then she was asked wern't you engaged to Ozzy's guitar player. She said no she was with the Black Sabbath guy. (Didnt say a name but just that.) And that it was a rocky time in the Sabbath band. So it hurt their relationship. "It was at a point in that band that the pizza delivery guy got to be in the band longer than some real musicians" her words!

I think they met at some sort of charity gig and jammed together and that got their relationship going...personally, I always wondered if it was the starstruck "student" in love with her "teacher," especially given the age difference between them.
Tony said in his book that he and Geoff Nicholls were so busy writing songs and doing blow that Lita just ended up getting sick of being excluded.
I wonder where, or if, the tapes of The Bride Wore Black exist today. I'd like to hear them. She is a very good guitarist and Iommi is a very good producer.
He is not here. He has risen!
Tony comes up in the conversation at about 10:50
Are you saying boo, or boo-urns?
Cool interview.
Lita still looks pretty good for 53 years old (what am I SAYING...she's not that much older than I am)!
The most I've ever known of her saying about Tony Iommi was in Kerrang! in the late '80s...she said "there's a certain amount of bad blood between Tony and I," but she didn't elaborate.
I suppose she got involved with Tony similarly to if I'd had the chance to get involved with Nancy Wilson of Heart!

The pizza guy? They were HER bandmates before Sabbath lol. Sabbath has never had incompetent musicians in any lineup.
