I saw this and thought 'CASH GRAB!'
I love the album and bought the last remaster...was it the 39th aniversary or 38th..37th?? How many times can you buy the same songs over and over???
"The 40th Anniversary Edition of Machine Head" is to be released on October 8. This five discs special edition will be accompanied with fully illustrated 60 page hardback booklet, housed in a luxury box. Now - that`s awesome! http://heavyrocktheplaylist.blogspot...dition-of.html

Yeah, this wont be on my to get list, I already have the last anniversary edition. They need to be working on Perfect Strangers and the new album, not this.

Yeah, no one needs five versions of the same CD in an over-priced boxset....I'm pretty sure they've cleared the vaults from that era, so they should move on to other eras.
Looks cheap.. maybe they even use the old remaster from the late 90's.. how knows.. record companies are always record companies...
Got the 25th Anniversay edition, which is two CDs, album remastered and Glover's remix. Totally love Glovers remix, really brought the album to life on CD, and that is the version I always listen to. This set doesn't really add to that as far as I am concerned, I really don't need a Quad mix.
Vantage Point - Priest/Maiden influenced metal.

Glover's remix is better than the original album, IMO
Highway Star just wouldn't sound right to me now without this intro.
