Their album Capricorn has been on my "to get" list for a while.
This is a new band that I think really has the Sabbath sound and influence perfect. Their are a lot of Doom Sabbath influenced bands but i think this is one of the best. Let me know what everyone thinks or if there are any fans of this band yet?

I can't stop listening to this song.
A sickened mind and spirit - The mirror tells me lies
Could I mistake myself for someone - Who lives behind my eyes?
Will he escape my soul - Or will he live in me?
Is he trying to get out - Or trying to enter me?
- Diary Of A Madman

I've just discovered this band on their bandcamp, it's pretty cool !

Listened couple of their songs. My initial reaction was "wow, these guys really try to sound exactly like early Sabbath". Riffs, vintage guitar sound, drumming, bassist's pose, singer's phrasing...everything. I liked the riffs and all, but they strike me as copy cats. They are clearly great musicians, but if they can't add something of their own to their sound, it's unlikely I'll ever buy their albums.
And the vocal melodies in the verses of this song are almost identical to the ones in "Thrill Of It All":

"The consequence of conscience/Is that you'll be left somewhere/Swinging in the air"-Ronnie James Dio (1942-2010) R.I.P. King Of Metal
"Just take a look around you what do you see/Pain, suffering, and misery/It's not the way that the world was planned/It's a pity you don't understand" - Geezer Butler
"If god is in heaven/How can this happen here" - Phil Lynott (1949-1986)
I really dig these guys, they are a Sabbath tribute (as admitted by lead singer Theo Mindell) but that never bothered me. I actually really enjoy his vocal style.

Thanks for the comments. Cool to see other fans of the band. They are new to me as I first discovered them about 3 weeks ago. I am hunting for the Capricorn record but it is a little pricey at the moment. I can't wait until the release of their new EP.
They obviously are Sabbath ripoffs but for me they work. So many Sabbath Ripoffs I am not a huge fan of but these guys do it well. Maybe because their tempo's are a little faster and they are not so doomy. People sometimes forget Sabbath had a lot of up tempo stuff as well.

Just based on the songs here, I don't really hear much blatant Sabbath worship in this band. They definitely have adopted a retro 70's sound and look. The singers voice to a slight degree reminds me more of Trouble's singer then Ozzy. I think they're touching on the Sabbath vibe; but no more so then any stoner rock/doom band. I mean that whole genre in and of itself borrows directly from Sabbath most of the time, so there's a resemblance of course. Hard to play doom and not resemble Sabbath.
The other clips posted here don't inspire me to run out & buy anything. The riffs are missing a certain hook for me. However, I found two songs just a minute ago I like much more:

So perhaps there's more material on their albums that I might get into. The band show some promise. From what I've noticed they have pretty good lyrics. Its enough for me to keep an eye on them & see what develops.

"From the book, the word is spoken. Whispers from forgotten psalms. Gather all around the young ones. They will make us strong. Reach above your dreams of pleasure
Given life to those who died. Look beyond your own horizons. Sail the ship of signs."
