WHO AM I?

In doing my research for this World Wide Web Site, a few people have popped up whose identity I cannot confirm. There are three of them I'm going to put here. If you know who any of these people are for a fact, then please send me E-Mail. Please only do this if you have concrete proof these people are who you think they are. I've heard a lot of fans say "Oh yeah, it's ..so and so..". However, when asked to prove it, all they say is "I heard it from ....". Please, if you ID these people, have some proof.

Mystery #1 - Denise Crosby?

Denise Crosby? Actually, this one is somewhat accepted to be Denise Crosby most notably known for her role as Tasha Yar on Star Trek: The Next Generation. However, I've never heard from anyone official that this really is her. If anyone happens to go to a Star Trek Convention, and sees her, ask her if this really was her! This shot comes from the Black & White Music Video for No Stranger to Love from Seventh Star.

UPDATE: I have gotten confirmation that this is indeed Denise Crosby. The source for this is a radio interview I have with Tony Iommi shortly before the release of the Seventh Star album.

Mystery #2 - Mystery Bassist

No idea who this is!This shot is taken from the music video for The Shining from The Eternal Idol. The album was recorded with (initially) Dave Spitz, and then Bob Daisley. However, for the tour, a guy named Jo Burt played bass. I have ruled out this being either Spitz or Daisley, since I know what both of them look like, and this is not them. I have assumed for years that this was Jo Burt, but its been brought up by a few people on the Black Sabbath Mailing List that this is not Jo Burt, it's just someone that was picked up off the street the day of the filming of this video to play bass. This is partially backed up by the fact that I now have a picture of Jo Burt, and this is not Jo Burt. Who the hell is this person? If you want to see another picture of this guy click here.

UPDATE: I have gotten confirmation that this guy was indeed "pulled off the street".  I got this information from Tony Martin via email about the guy:

Joe hi,

The bassist on the video was some guy that we pulled in off the street.

He was actually a guitaist, and he just stood in for the video. When the shoot was finished he asked if he could audition for the bass player position, but when we tried him out he just didn't cut it. So back out on the street he went.

He kept saying that he was a reincarnate red indian, and that his spirit guide was some famous chief!!!! But that's his claim to fame, I bet NOBODY believes him, can you imagine just getting shoved in off the street to audition for Sabbath. then getting kicked back out the door!!!

Mystery #3 - Laurence Cottle?

Laurence Cottle? This shot is taken from the music video for Headless Cross from the album of the same name. The question here is who is the guy to the left? The album was recorded with Laurence Cottle on bass. Neil Murray didn't join until the eve of the tour, and this is definitely not him. I'm wondering if this isn't just someone they stood over there to play bass in the video and nothing else. I've got a few more shots of this guy, but none of them are very clear at all. Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, Image 4.

UPDATE: I have gotten confirmation that this is Laurence Cottle.  The source for this is Laurence himself, as he emailed me around May 1, 2000 and told me that it was him in the video.  Presumably, it was one of (if not the) final things he did with his short involvement with Sabbath in 1988.
