Hey Joe, wanted to give a little review of last nights show in Vancouver. All I can say is it was AMAZING!!! Ozzy’s voice gave out and as such they cut it 3 songs short but when his voice was on it was great!! Tommy is an amazing drummer and my god what a solo he did. I love Bill Ward but I really don’t think he would be able to do it. Full house, sold out about 16,000 and loud!! Tony and Geezer were amazing as always and there really is nothing like seeing your hero’s live doing what they do best!! What a show!!

    Tom.

  2. The atmosphere in Vancouver was fantastic!! The sound was great, Tony’s guitar was crisp, heavy and clear; you could make out every note and chord coming from the guitar. Tony had a smile on his face for the whole show it seemed. Geezer and Tommy were thunderous, it really filled in the rest and the drum solo was well received. Ozzy started out a bit rough (really out of key on the first half of into the void) but seemed to come around for under the sun onward with minor vocal issues throughout. He kept apologizing, but to me it didn’t seem that bad IMO … could have been the beer :)

Unfortunately it was a shortened set with no Children of the grave or Dirty Women (I had seen the Toronto show a week earlier and Methademic was dropped from that show also). Sabbath went straight into Paranoid after God is dead without Ozzy’s usual “one more song” 5min encore chants.

Despite the shortened set and vocal issues, the crowd did not seem to mind and everyone was having a great time singing along and cheering. Again, fantastic atmosphere.

Overall, very fun and a great, positive atmosphere!!!
